HealthVault Basics How to Create a HealthVault Account
BHMG – United Medical uses Microsoft HealthVault as our secure patient portal to let you view, download, or print your health information anytime!
Getting Started
Whenever you visit your doctor at BHMG-United Medical, you will receive an email from HealthVault Message Center ([email protected]) to pick up your new message from [email protected]. Note: You will only receive these emails if you have chosen to opt-in to receive emails during your registration process at BHMG-United Medical.
This email serves as notification that new health information is available for your HealthVault account. The email itself DOES NOT contain any sensitive, medical, or personal information.
In order to view your health information, you need to log in or create a HealthVault account.

Click Pick up my message in the notification email to create a new HealthVault account.
Click to proceed with registration.

If you have a Microsoft account (also called a Windows Live ID), sign in with your user name and password. If you do not have a Microsoft account, click Create one!
Fill in the required fields and enter the characters you see at the bottom of the screen. The user name and password you create here will be become a Windows Live ID that you will use to sign into HealthVault. When you are done, click .

For security purposes, Microsoft will ask you to verify your email.
Check your email again and look for a new email from Microsoft account team to verify your email address.

Click to continue.
Click to finish creating your account.
To confirm your identity, you will need to input your date of birth in the format mm/dd/yyyy. For example, if your birthday is on January 1, 1954, your answer would be: 01/01/1954. For security purposes, HealthVault will not let you proceed if your birth date does not match the birth date on record with BHMG – United Medical. Click to proceed.

Select the record where you would like to store your health information (typically, there will be one available selection). Click .

A preview of the health information that BHMG-United Medical sent you will display. You can select to review your health information by clicking , or you can click Go to my HealthVault home page to go to your main profile.
