As a community, the All-Sorority and Fraternity Grade Point Average (3.048) is above the All- Student Grade Point Average at UC Davis (2.897) for Spring Quarter 2016. Individually, congratulations are due to Alpha Epsilon Pi, whose members earned the highest average Spring GPA (3.31), and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi for receiving the highest average cumulative GPA (3.35). About NAPA The National Asian Pacific Islander American Panhellenic Association serves to advocate the needs of its member organizations through the enrichment of the fraternal experience. NAPA promotes and fosters positive interfraternal relations, communications, and the development of all Asian Pacific Islander American Greek Lettered organizations through mutual respect, leadership, integrity, professionalism, academic achievement, cultural awareness, and community involvement. NAPA is not a governing body and will not regulate or interfere with organizations’ day-to-day operations and/or relations with chapters. NAPA members fulfill NAPA’s purpose by sharing ideas and connecting member organizations with helpful Greek Life professionals, references and/or other resources to improve organizational operations. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. 3. Spend the time, not the money. 4. Never invest more than a postage stamp to get information about scholarships. 5. Legitimate scholarship foundations do not charge application fees. 6. If you're suspicious of an offer, it's usually with good reason. Don’t be fooled by an official sounding name. Words like “National,” “Foundations,” or “Administration” in the title doesn’t mean it is a legitimate operation. A few tips regarding scholarship applications As the student, it is your responsibility to READ and follow all Scholarship instructions, and request your official transcript from the registrar (Mrs. Tornabene) in person. Please complete a gold transcript request form for each official transcript requested. It is YOUR responsibility to pick up the requested transcript from the Registrar’s Office and then.... for “In School” Scholarships submit the complete Scholarship Application to Mrs. Grady and make sure you meet your deadlines… 3:15 PM of deadline date! Expansion Council Member Selection Process
Expansion Council Member Selection Process Overview In response to a rapidly growing interest in Greek-letter organizations at UC Santa Cruz, the Office of Records for Greek-Letter Organizations, Student Organization Advising and Resources (SOAR) invited all Greek-letter organization student leaders to participate in establishing a council that is responsible for assessing the capacity of Greek-Letter life on campus, as well as instituting a process of University recognition for interested groups. Expansion will be coordinated by the Expansion Council, which consists of eight (8) members: Inter-Greek Council President, College Panhellenic Council President, four (4) active student members of the Greek-Letter Community, SOAR advisor, and the Associate Director of SOMeCA. Appointment of Inter-Greek Council President The Inter-Greek Council President is elected through the Inter-Greek Council election process. As part of their duties, the Inter-Greek Council President must serve on Expansion Council for the entire duration of their presidential term. The length of their presidential term is from September to August (one academic year). The Inter-Greek Council President is a voting member for Expansion Council.
