Fishing The waters of both the Catawba River and Lake Wylie are filled with bass, brim, catfish and crappie making it an ideal location for local and national fishing tournaments. Buster Boyd Access Area and Ebenezer Park are both common sites for fishing tournaments. Neither site can be reserved to exclude the general public. Event Organizers must receive approval from York County to use Ebenezer Park. Managed by Duke Energy, Buster Boyd Access Area requires a special permit granted by Duke Energy and the SC Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) for approved used of the venue.
