Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is NOT part of the early entry feature

Extra Magic Hour Guests with Disney MaxPass can start making mobile selections for the day as soon as they enter the park. FASTPASS arrival windows, however, will be issued only for times when that experience is open to the general public. Disney FASTPASS service and Disney MaxPass are unavailable for attractions in : Galaxy’s Edge.

FASTPASS Disney's FASTPASS system is a reservaon system designed to moderate wait mes. When you arrive at a FASTPASS aracon, if the posted wait me is acceptable you should hop in the regular "standby" line. If you do not want to wait that long, you may pick-up a FASTPASS cket that will allow you to return and ride with a minimal wait during the posted return window.

Disney’s FASTPASS system in 3 easy steps:

1. Each member of your party inserts his or her park cket in the FASTPASS kiosk.

2. You'll receive a FASTPASS cket with a return me so that you can go play in the park instead of waing in line. Tip: Look on the boom of your current FASTPASS cket to find out when you can get one for another aracon.

3. Come back during your return me and hop on the aracon with lile or no waing.

The smartest touring strategy is to ALWAYS have a Fast Pass! Before going for lunch or going to see a show or parade, grab a Fast Pass and then grab another one as soon as you are able. Check your FP cket for your next available me to get a Fast Pass.

FastPass Tips:

• Park ckets must be acvated at the front turnsles (or monorail staon) before being used to obtain FASTPASSes, so you can’t send one family member into the park while the others snooze. However, once everyone has entered, you can send one person across to the other park with everyone’s ckets to retrieve FASTPASSes there.

• Since lines are manageable, there's no reason to use FASTPASS during the first 30-40 minutes a park is open.

• If you arrive aer a park opens, obtain a FASTPASS for your preferred FASTPASS aracon first thing.

• Always check the FASTPASS return period before obtaining your FASTPASS.

• Don't depend on FASTPASSes being available for ride aracons aer 2 p.m. during busier mes of the year.

• Make sure that everyone in your party has his or her own FASTPASS.

• You can obtain a second FASTPASS as soon as you enter the return period for your first FASTPASS or aer 2 hours from issuance, whichever comes first.

• Maximize efficiency by always obtaining a new FASTPASS for the next aracon before using the first FASTPASS you already hold.

• Be mindful of your FastPass return me, and plan intervening acvies accordingly.

• Rides don’t dispense FastPasses during early entry, nor while they are closed for technical difficules or special events.

• When obtaining FASTPASSes, it's faster and more considerate of other guests to select a "FASTPASS Runner" to obtain passes for your enre party. This means entrusng one individual with both your valuable park admission passes and your FASTPASSes, so choose wisely. (Also note that the runner can do her work while you eat, visit the restroom, or ride a different aracon.) • Keep in mind that FASTPASS on Disneyland's older aracons does not work as efficiently as it does on newer aracons. In many cases, FASTPASS users enter a separate queue that at some later point is merged with the standby queue. You want this merge to happen as late as possible so that you get ahead of as many standby guests as possible. You cannot control this, but it is something to be mindful of as you compare the benefits of using FASTPASS on different aracons.

• You may hold one FASTPASS for each park, at any me. This can be handy if you enjoy park hopping, especially if your FASTPASS is for more than an hour away from the current me.

• You need a FASTPASS to watch World of Color and Fantasmic. I highly recommend geng these very early during the day, as they can sell out. These are not included in your FASTPASS allowance and you may hold both World of Color FASTPASSes and Fantasmic FASTPASSes in addion to your one FASTPASS per park.

Basic Info

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge officially opened on May 31, 2019. This is the single largest expansion in Disneyland’s history and includes 14 acres to discover.

This new land is set in Batuu. Batuu is a planet on the Galaxy’s Outer Rim. When you enter Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll be vising Black Spire Outpost, which is located on the planet, Batuu. Smugglers and Traders roam the land with every intenon of avoiding the First Order and all it includes.

Aliens, Droids, and other inhabitants wander the land along with some good guys, too, including Rey, Chewie, Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers.

The land is approximately 14 acres in size. (For comparison, at DCA is 12 acres.)

The includes two aracons, dining, shopping, and entertainment. Currently, there is only one aracon open, Smuggler’s Run. Rise of the Resistance will open in January 2020.

Boarding Groups

You may need a Boarding Group to enter the new land. The Disneyland app will let you know if you do. If the land says “open”, go on in. If not, you’ll need a Boarding Group.

Two notes on boarding groups:

+Guests will have to be inside Disneyland park to obtain entry into a boarding group.

+Guests can use the Disneyland app to obtain entry. A non-technology opon will also be available.

• If Boarding Groups are being used, and you have a reservaon, you do not need to request a Boarding Group, as everyone listed on your reservaon for Oga’s or Savi’s will be allowed to enter the land up to one hour prior to your me. Up to 6 guests total can be listed on your Savi’s reservaon, even though only the creator and two guests can enter the actual lightsaber creaon experience. You will list everyone’s names when making a reservaon.

• Once you’re in the land with your reservaon, you’re free to stay as long as you wish.

Two guests – in addion to the guest creang the lightsaber – may enter the building to watch the lightsaber creaon. The enre process takes about 20-30 minutes. The average cost is $200 per lightsaber

The Droid Depot

The Droid Depot is amazing, too, and a smidge less popular. It also takes about 20 minutes to create a droid. The average cost is $100 per droid.

Black Spire Outpost

Black Spire Outpost sells clothing. Most of it complies with Disney’s costume guidelines. The only excepons include the long robes. Those robes cannot be worn inside the parks. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

*Guests must be 38″ or taller to enjoy this aracon.

*This aracon does not have FASTPASSES.

*This aracon allows Rider Switch.

*This aracon is ADA compliant and allows the DAS pass to be used for it. Guests with mobility issues should enter the standard queue and be expected to transfer on the ride vehicle if needed.

Guests will move through the queue at the beginning of Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, just like any other. The queue is super cool, so waing in it won’t be like any other you’ve experienced at the Disneyland Resort.

Eventually, you’ll walk into a loading area where Hondo Ohnaka will be instrucng you on why he’s there, what he needs from you, and how to proceed.

Aer another short walk through the queue, you’ll be split into groups of 6. Each guest will then receive a small “cket” which will assign you a role. Two guests will become pilots. Two will become gunners. Two will become engineers. You may trade these assignments with the other guests in your group if you wish.

With assignments in hand, your group of 6 will enter the ship’s main hold and lounge. While you pause here for a bit, sit at the famous Dejarik chess table or wander around while you wait to officially board the Millennium Falcon. There’s a lot of cool stuff to see.

Groups are labeled by color. When your color is called, proceed to board the ship and hand over your ckets. Pilots are in front, then gunners, and finally, engineers. Every seat is good and will allow you to see plenty.

Each role includes the following dues:

Pilots –The pilot on the le controls horizontal movement. The pilot on the right controls vercal movement.

Gunners – Use blasters and missiles to defend the ship. Switch to manual targeng if you really want a challenge. (Hint – push buons as they light up.)

Engineers – Respond to repairs needed as that hunk of junk flies through the Galaxy. (Hint – push buons as they light up.)

Park Touring If you are planning on vising Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, head there first thing in the morning and explore and do as much as you want. If you can’t make it there in the morning, head there at night, a couple of hours before closing.

If you are not planning on checking out Galaxy’s Edge, heed the following:

Disneyland Park

Try to arrive at the gate at LEAST 30 minutes before opening me. It can get quite crowded just before opening me so if you’re early, it will be much quicker to get through the gates at opening me.

Space Mountain typically has the longest lines at Disneyland so if you want to ride it, head there first thing!

If you aren’t riding Space Mountain first thing, then head to the le side of the park. Most guests tend to head right as they make their way down Main Street. is a great choice for a first ride.

Splash Mountain usually has the second longest lines in the park. It is another good choice for an early morning visit. If the lines are long and you don’t have Fast Passes, try the single rider line, it is rarely busy!

Fantasyland is best le for late at night as most families will head straight there and the lines easily climb to 30-60 minutes. If you can’t wait unl about an hour before park closing me, head straight there at park opening. Peter Pan will be the busiest ride at any me of the day.

Then tour the park at your leisure, just remember to ALWAYS have a Fast Pass/Max Pass!

Disney California Adventure

If you can, always arrive at the park at LEAST 30 minutes before official park opening. While the official opening me is usually 10:00 am, they somemes will open a lile early.

As soon as the park opens, my best advice is to head for in Carsland. If you are okay with your party spling up, try the single rider line as soon as your first ride is over. This will allow you to ride it a second me with almost no wait!

You can then ride Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters and then head over to Pier to ride Incredicoaster if you have roller coaster enthusiasts in your party.

Always have a Fast Pass/Max Pass! Tour the rest of the park ulizing Max Pass via the app.

Single Rider Using Single Rider lines is a great way to see some of the best aracons with shorter wait mes. Please know that your party will be separated so doing an aracon with your family the very first me in the single rider line is not recommend but if you are going on a ride solo or you are wanng to experience an aracon again with shorter wait mes, then single rider is a good opon!

Please note that the single rider line is somemes closed or not offered, especially when the wait mes are low. If you have any quesons, please ask a Cast Member.

Here are the current rides with available single rider lines.
