CV SUMMARY (max. 3500 characters, including spaces) Dr. Jesús Souza Troncoso is Full Professor in University of Vigo was the Director of ECIMAT (Toralla Marine Sciences Station) and Director of the Center of Marine Research of Vigo University since October 2014 to 2018; he has published more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 5 complete books and several chapters in encyclopedias, has supervised 14 PhD Theses to date, has Coordinator of the Department PhD Program in late nineties. He attended more than 450 congresses, some of them by invitation or organizer. Currently, he is editor in chief and associate editor of some international marine science and malacological journals. Moreover, he has a wide and successful experience on different academic positions as Secretary and Director of the Ecology and Animal Biology Department for 7 years and more recently he has been the Dean of the Marine Science Faculty of Vigo University for 6 years (from 2007 until July 2013). Nowadays he is the President of the Spanish Malacological Society since 2011 till 2019, Council Member of MARS Network (The European Network of Marine Research Institutes and Stations), and representative member of EMBRC (European Marine Biological Research Center) and EUROMARINE.
