Neil Young - July 21, 2015
Neil Young - July 21, 2015 Neil Young is taking his campaign against genetically modified foods to the next level with his upcoming album “The Monsanto Years” and a tour that stops at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on July 21. Young has joined forces with Promise of the Real, which features Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah, for the album and the tour. “The Monsanto Years” is expected to include songs directed against Monsanto and Starbucks, which Young urged his fans to boycott last year for its part in trying to stop Vermont’s law requiring labels to disclose whether food has been genetically modified. Starbucks officials say they are not part of that effort. However, Young insists that the company is involved through the Grocery Manufacturers Association trade group. On June 16 Neil Young & Promise Of The Real will release a new studio album, The Monsanto Years, via Reprise Records. According to a statement, “the politically/ecologically-charged album will be released via participating digital retailers and Young’s online music store PonoMusic.com as well as on physical CD and vinyl in stores and through Neil’s official web store. The Monsanto Years is the first studio collaboration between Neil Young and L.A. rockers Promise Of The Real, a band fronted by Lukas Nelson (vocals/guitar) and Micah Nelson (guitar, 1 / 2 Neil Young - July 21, 2015 vocals), along with Anthony Logerfo (drums), Corey McCormick (bass) and Tato Melgar (percussion). Young & Promise Of The Real played a stealth show on Thursday in which they debuted a slew of material presumably from the new LP. -

Chatting with Evita's Christina Decicco, the 'Alternate Eva'
Friday, June 29, 2012 DIVA TALK Chatting With Evita’s Christina DeCicco, the ‘Alternate Eva’ By ANDREW GANS For those like myself who like to catch as many different actresses playing the role of Evita as possible, there is some exciting news: For two weeks this summer former Wicked star Christina DeCicco will step into the title role of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical at the Marquis Theatre. DeCicco, who normally performs the role twice weekly — Wednesday evenings and Saturday matinees — will play the late Eva Peron six performances a week July 12-19 and August (dates to be announced shortly) while Argentinian actress and Olivier winner Elena Roger films a movie (during those two weeks Jessica Lea Patty will be the Alternate Eva). (For the record, this diva lover has enjoyed the Evitas of Tony winner Patti LuPone, Derin Altay, Nancy Opel, Donna Marie Elio [now Asbury], Judy McLane, Natalie Toro, Felicia Finley, Elena Roger, and, come July 7, Ms. DeCicco.) Although DeCicco has only gotten to play the role about 20 times, her co-stars have lavished her with praise. Rachel Potter, who plays Peron’s Mistress, previously told me, “Christina is from New York. She’s an American through and through, and she brings such a different energy, but it’s so, so great, and I hope that more and more people will come see her because she’s fantastic....Her voice is stunning, and we’re all very, very proud of her because obviously being an alternate is never an easy job. -

ANYTHING GOES -Sutton Foster and Joel Grey star as Reno Sweeney and Moonface Martin in Cole Porter's musical cruise across the Atlantic Ocean. BOOK OF MORMON, THE -Have they written it on golden plates? Only the creators (South Park + Avenue Q) know for sure. CHICAGO – There’s never been a better time to experience Broadway’s razzle-dazzle smash. A sensational tale of sin, corruption and all that jazz, it has everything you could want in a musical: knockout dancing, an edge-of-your-seat story, and one showstopper after another. CHINGISH - Playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly) explores the cultural barriers between America and China - especially linguistic ones - in this timely new comedy. COLUMNIST, THE - David Auburn's (Proof) latest drama portrays the dilemma faced by powerful Washington columnist Joseph Alsop, who publicly hosts the Kennedy Camelot circle while keeping hidden deep parts of himself. Starring John Lithgow. DEATH OF A SALESMAN - One man and his family are caught up in the pressures and delusions of living the American Dream. Miller's play is the story of a traveling salesman whose illusions of picture-perfect business and family life cave in on him. Philip Seymour Hoffman stars as the distressed salesman Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's masterpiece. Also starring Andrew Garfield and Linda Emond. END OF THE RAINBOW - It's December 1968 and Judy Garland is about to make her comeback…again. In a London hotel room with her young new fiancé at her side, Garland battles with a tornado of drugs and alcohol as she undertakes an exhausting series of concerts at the Talk of the Town to try and reclaim her crown as the greatest talent of her generation. -

INTRODUCTION 2 Throughout this trial, including in opening statement, Monsanto has been forced to move 3 for mistrial or otherwise object to improper argument and actions by Plaintiffs’ counsel. Even if 4 stricken, improper comments or conduct by Plaintiffs’ counsel can unduly influence and prejudice 5 the jury. It is nearly impossible to “unring the bell,” and improper comments during closing 6 argument have even more influence because they occur just before the jury deliberates.
