QUOTES FROM THE COACH: “I was very disappointed in our discipline on Friday night, myself included,” stated George Roll. “It was certainly not the type of hockey we want to play. We went over it on Saturday and decided that, as a team, we were going to go the other way and just stay away from the undisciplined penalties and just play the game. Our effort on Saturday was much more complete. I thought it was the best period of hockey we played all season in the third period against Union. Other than the one chance they had, we limited their chances and played in their zone. Really, it was a pretty solid 60 minutes of hockey from us. We’ve just got to learn as coaches and as players that we can’t let little things effect us and stick to the game plan. That didn’t happen on Friday, but it did happen on Saturday.” “I think it is a huge weekend. With Cornell coming in on Friday, being undefeated in the league and a Frozen Four team last year, it gives us a barometer of where we are at as a program and if we are getting closer and I think we are. When we play the type of hockey we are capable of I think we’re a good team, but again we’ve got to stay focused, stay disciplined and concentrate on playing the game and playing smart. Any team is capable of beating any other team in this league and if you think you only have to play one night and get out and get a sweep that’s not going to happen. You have to come prepared both nights. Both Cornell and Colgate are very good and have had some quality wins this season.” KNIGHT NOTES Clarkson’s senior class is displaying its leadership with the four minutes against the Dutchmen … The Knights are just 1-2-1 when game-winning goals this year scored by the Class of 2004.
