Abstract The greenhouse is an agricultural structure which provides the necessary growth factors for plant production and enables the mechanization of the crops. Greenhouse cultivation is one of the most important income generating branches of agriculture. Nowadays, computer software’s are used for anything as it is being used for planning greenhouses, more robust construction and economical results are obtained this way. Business owners, investing their money in greenhouses, are copying the structural features of existing greenhouses with all wrong calculated parameters and errors. Leaving their valuable cash and future of their investment in the hands of an iron-smith. As a result, the greenhouses which are built without static and strength calculations, more materials are used, or insecure constructions are being applied. When an economic loss occurs depending on structural damage, it will unavoidably lead to economic losses for farmers and implicitly for the country. This study, emphasizes the structural Analysis of a one-span glass covered gable-roofed greenhouse, having an area of 720 m2 located in Antalya province.

  • An Interpretation of Some Unpublished in Situ and Recorded Rum Seljuk 13Th C. External and Internal Figural Relief Work on the Belkıs (Aspendos) Palace, Antalya
GEPHYRA 8 2011 143–184 Terrance Michael Patrick DUGGAN An interpretation of some unpublished in situ and recorded Rum Seljuk 13th c. external and internal figural relief work on the Belkıs (Aspendos) Palace, Antalya Abstract: This article is divided into four parts. Firstly, it notes the precedent provided by the conversion of the Roman theatre at Bosra in Syria into an Ayyubid Palace, for the conversion of the Roman theater into the Rum Seljuk palace at Belkis–Aspendos and the known extensive use made of Syrian trained architects for important architectural projects by Rum Seljuk Sul- tans in the first half of the 13th c. Secondly, the two bands of Seljuk low relief depictions of fe- lines and a deer on a series of re–carved Roman limestone blocks on the exterior wall by the door leading to the southern köşk–pavilion erected above the parados and upon the lintel over this door, discovered by the author in 2007, extending over a length of nearly 10 m are de- scribed and the deliberate pecking of the surface of these low relief depictions it is suggested, was to provide bonding for applied painted stucco carved relief–work that completed this relief work on the exterior palace facade. The third section describes the painted Seljuk tympanum relief sculpture made of stucco plaster that concealed the Roman relief carving of Dionysus in the pediment of the sceanae frons in the 13th c. A sculptural relief depiction of a nude female figure which was fortunately recorded by Charles Texier early in the 19th c.

The surrounding waters support marine turtles, monk seals and dolphins, and the small islets (Bes Adalar) are home to feeding and breeding colonies of these species. Marine bio-diversity assessment carried out in the framework of MedPAN South Project in 2009 to figure out complete biodiversity within the border of Kas-Kekova SPA. It was a complementary study of the work has been done in 2002 and 2006. During the previous studies only certain species were investigated that were selected based on their IUCN status (endangered, threatened) and protection status under international conventions or under the National Fisheries Manual and their presence in the survey area and in addition some flagship species were selected to highlight the habitats. Kemer Kemer is a seaside resort and district of Antalya Province on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, 40 km (25 mil) west of the city of Antalya, on the Turkish Riviera. Kemer is on the Gulf of Antalya, 53 km (33 mi) of sea coast with the skirts of the western Taurus Mountains behind. The coast has the typical Mediterranean hot, dry weather and warm sea. Until the early 1980s this was a quiet rural district but today the town of Kemer and coastal villages in the district play a very important part in tourism in Turkey. Tourism in Kemer One of the major attractions of Kemer is its natural beauty; sea, mountains and pine forest combine in harmony. The shore from Beldibi to Tekirova consists of unspoilt beaches in bays of various sizes, mostly stony rather than sand. With easy transportation, good communication and other municipal services Kemer has a large proportion of the hotel bed capacity of the Antalya region, and is a comfortable and peaceful holiday coast with internationally accepted reputation, attracting large numbers of visitors from countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and in recent years predominantly families from Russia.

  • Turkey 2020 Human Rights Report
TURKEY 2020 HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Turkey is a constitutional republic with an executive presidential system and a unicameral 600-seat parliament (the Grand National Assembly). In presidential and parliamentary elections in 2018, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe observers expressed concern regarding restrictions on media reporting and the campaign environment, including the jailing of a presidential candidate that restricted the ability of opposition candidates to compete on an equal basis and campaign freely. The National Police and Jandarma, under the control of the Ministry of Interior, are responsible for security in urban areas and rural and border areas, respectively. The military has overall responsibility for border control and external security. Civilian authorities maintained effective control over law enforcement officials, but mechanisms to investigate and punish abuse and corruption remained inadequate. Members of the security forces committed some abuses. Under broad antiterror legislation passed in 2018 the government continued to restrict fundamental freedoms and compromised the rule of law. Since the 2016 coup attempt, authorities have dismissed or suspended more than 60,000 police and military personnel and approximately 125,000 civil servants, dismissed one-third of the judiciary, arrested or imprisoned more than 90,000 citizens, and closed more than 1,500 nongovernmental organizations on terrorism-related grounds, primarily for alleged ties to the movement of cleric Fethullah Gulen, whom the government accused of masterminding the coup attempt and designated as the leader of the “Fethullah Terrorist Organization.” Significant human rights issues included: reports of arbitrary killings; suspicious deaths of persons in custody; forced disappearances; torture; arbitrary arrest and continued detention of tens of thousands of persons, including opposition politicians and former members of parliament, lawyers, journalists, human rights activists, and employees of the U.S.

  • Golfin Antalya
Golf in Antalya Golf in Belek Belek, one of Antalya’s most popular holiday centres, has become not only a brand name in Turkey, but one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world thanks to its unsurpassed natural beauty and perfect climate. Located 30 kilometers from Antalya, Belek has a seventeen-kilometer coastline lined with numerous five star hotels. Since the early 1990s, Belek has offered its guests the most comfortable holiday opportunity in the Mediterranean. Among the features that make Belek such an attractive location in the region is its ease of access and the ancient cities situated nearby. The region hosted numerous civilisations throughout its thousands of years of history, and with its fertile lands has been a centre of attention in every period. Though Belek has a typical Mediterranean climate, the freshwater streams which flow from the slopes of the Taurus Mountains give it different characteristics than other Mediterranean locations. Thanks to its large sand dunes, its beaches are sheltered from the harsh effects of the sea and wind. With all these features in place, Belek offers a magnificent atmosphere, not only as a tourism centre, but as an area that contains all the distinctive Mediterranean characteristics. For many years now, Belek has been one of the foremost holiday destinations for sports tourism in our country. It owes its preeminent position in this regard to its climate, geographical location and undeniably to its committed implementation of sustainable tourism policies. Belek and its hotels are highly popular with sports clubs and cater to their needs across all sports year-round.
