If we make a closer analysis of the developments that preceded the temple entry proclamation, we can see several factors that prompted the Maharaja Sree Chithira Thirunal and Diwan C.P. Ramaswamy Iyer and the most significant being the political threat of conversion created by numerically predominant Hindu community – the Ezhavas of the Princely state of Modern Travancore.
