MANDAL UNIVERSITY, MADHEPURA (BIHAR) संथापक National Seminar on Information Technology and Digital India: Importance & Prospects 28th May 2019 Organized by Community College Anoop Lal Yadav Mahavidyalaya, Triveniganj Seminar Themes: The Seminar on “Information Technology and Digital India: Importance & Prospects” aim is to provide a good platform for academician, industrialist, students, common citizens to entire business, engineering and technology community to meet with each other and to exchange ideas and views for nation building. The seminar will focus on the frontier topics of Information Technology and Digital India. This seminar is open for discussion to all area of current trends in Information Technology, Computer Science and Business Technology for nation building. The following list suggests some area but not limited to: Role of IT in Agriculture, Industry, Socio-economic development, Health and e- Governance. Business Technology e-Commerce, Taxation, GST, MIS, ERP. Strategy of Indian government to promote the business policy and technological advancement among citizens Current trends of research and development in Computer Science such as Big Data Analysis, Wireless Sensor Network, Internet-of-Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Block Chain Management, Disaster Management, Security and Privacy, Digital Literacy etc. About College: Anoop Lal Yadav Mahavidyalaya is registered under the Society Registration act and it is a permanent affiliated unit of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Laloo Nagar Madhepura. This college is recognized u/s 2(F) and 12(B) of the UGC act 1956. The College is an example of Model College in region with well-equipped state-of-art infrastructure and implementation of latest technology for managing the day to day functionality. ALY College offer three years full time degree courses: B.A, B.Com, and B.Sc. Two year years Intermediate Courses: I. A., I. Sc. and I.Com. One year Diploma Certification Courses (under NSQF Scheme): Information Technology, Hardware & Networking and Accounting & Taxation. College have spacious Lecture Halls, Modern Audio Visual aids, Fully Equipped Laboratories, Computer Labs, Smart Class, Language Lab, Reading Rooms, Library (with Library Management Software) and Seminar halls.     DISTRICT PROFILE SUPAUL INTRODUCTION Supaul is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar. It is a part of Kosi division. Supaul was accorded the status of a sub-division in 1862. Supaul district was carved out from the erstwhile Saharsa district on 14th March, 1991. Supaul district is bounded by Nepal in the north, Madhepura and Saharsa districts in the south, Araria district in the east and Madhubani district in the west. Supaul district has an international border with Nepal. The river flowing through Supaul district is Kosi. River Kosi is regularly in spate, hence it is considered as the “sorrow of Bihar’’. The major distributaries of Kosi flowing through Supaul are Tilyuga Chhaimra, Kali, Tilawe, Bhenga, Mirchaiya and Sursar. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND Supaul has a rich history. This district had been a part of Mithilanchal since the Vedic age. The area has been referred to as Matsya Kshetra-the fishery area, in Hindu mythology. The two oldest democracies namely Angutaran and Apadnigam known to have existed during the Buddhist era, were present in the area which comprises of today’s Supaul district. Kunauli is a small town of Supaul district on the border of Nepal’s Saptari district. The name Kunauli is derived from the Mauryan emperor Ashoka's son, Kunal who once ruled this place. The western embankment bank of Kosi runs through Kunauli. With the establishment of Magadh empire, Kosi river basin became a part of Teer Bhukti and Pondravardhan Bhukti. Buddhism existed and flourished here for about 200 years during the regime of Pala dynasty. During the ancient period, Supaul area was ruled by the Nanda Vansha, Maurya, Sungas and Mithila dynasty.
