  • The World Health Organization Is Taking Cash Handouts from Junk Food Giants by Vigilant Citizen October 23, 2012
The World Health Organization is Taking Cash Handouts from Junk Food Giants By Vigilant Citizen October 23, 2012 The World Health Organization (WHO) is the United Nationʼs “public health” arm and has 194 member states. While its official mission is “the attainment by all people of the highest possible level of health“, it is also clear that it works according to a specific agenda, one that laid out by the world elite and the organizations that are part of it. In the article entitled ‘Contagionʼ or How Disaster Movies “Educate” the Masses, weʼve seen how the WHO was involved in the promotion of mass vaccination campaigns following (bogus) disease scares, of civilian camps, of the bar-coding of individuals and so forth. More proof of the WHOʼs “elite bias” has been recently uncovered by a study: The organization has been taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from the worldʼs biggest pushers of unhealthy foods such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Unilever. It is relying on these companies for advice on how to fight obesity..é which is the equivalent of asking a drug dealer for advice on how stay off drugs and NOT buy his product. Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Unilever are not simply “food companies, they are gigantic conglomerates that produce and distribute an enormous proportion of processed foods across the world. In the article entitled Irrational Consumerism (or The Few Companies Who Feed the World), I described how only a few mega-conglomerates own most of the worldʼs brands of processed foods. To refresh your memory here are some of the brands

  • Barter-Report-SAMPLE.Pdf
Introduction On Wednesday November 5th, our marketing 11 class held a bartering activity where every student participated in. It was required that each student bring at least 3 items to present in front of the class. This activity was to help us have a greater understand of how bartering works by experiencing it ourselves. Bartering is an old method of exchange which has been used for many centuries. This system does not involve money which is a great way to get a need by exchanging what you already have for that need. In our bartering activity, many students brought items such as food, drinks, coupons, and stationary supplies. Some items may look small and useless, but it doesn’t mean that other people wouldn’t want it. Items Brought Nivea Mint & Minerals Lip Balm After Eight Mint Chocolate Bar Deck of Cards (Gemaco) Trade #1 My first trade was with Steven. I traded my deck of cards for his Cherry Halls candy. This was a good trade because I have many deck of cards at home that I don’t use and I had a sore throat that day which I could use some halls. This was worth trading because I find the halls candy useful. The price for halls is around $1.29 and the prices for cards are also worth around $1.25. This was a very fair trade because our items ranged around the same price. I traded something I didn’t need for something that I did need. Trade #2 My second trade was with Christy.

  • The Peanut/Nut Free Shopping List
The Peanut/Nut Free Shopping List The best shopping advice to help keep kids allergic to peanuts and tree nuts safe is to only buy items that have been produced in a peanut/nut free facility or when an item uses the precautionary label “may contain” (and – of course - peanuts and nuts are not listed). Because precautionary labeling in Canada is voluntary, not every manufacturer or food distributor--especially those selling organic or bulk foods or distributing imported foods--have these important statements on their packages. In order to help you with your shopping, we have contacted some of the major food manufacturers/ distributors to confirm that their products are safe. Nevertheless, it is important to still read the labels as we get “news alerts” from the allergy network and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency on a regular basis. They are constantly informing us of products that are no longer safe. In other words, keep reading labels even for the list of suggestions below. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of peanut/tree nut free food products. If you have any questions or would like to add to the list, please feel free to contact me at 819 459 8648. Sweet Snacks Dare cookie and cracker products made in Canada (e.g., Bear Paws, Wagon Wheels, Simple Pleasures) Some but not all Leclerc products Date and Fig Newtons Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Bars (read the label as some have peanuts/nuts as ingredients) Quaker’s Peanut-Free Chewy Bars (look for peanut/nut free symbol). Sun-Rype products Crackers Plain Ritz Crackers Nabisco Saltines Triscuits Wheat Thins and Vegetable Thins Pepperidge Farms Goldfish Breton and Grainsfirst Crackers (Dare) Grissol Breadsticks and Melba Toast Salty Snacks Rold Gold Pretzels Ruffles or Lays Potato Chips Miss Vickies (potato chips) Orville Redenbacher Popcorn (read labels) (Note: No packaged seeds (sunflower, sesame, pumpkin, etc.) unless there is a precautionary label on them.
