WATSON Dear Friend of The National WWII Museum, We have long honored our mission to preserve the history and teachings of the war that changed the world through exhibitions, educational programs, and battlefield tours. The story of D-Day and the Allied invasion of Normandy have been at the heart of this Museum since we first opened our doors on June 6, 2000, and while our mission has expanded to cover the entire American experience in World War II, we still hold our Normandy travel programs in special regard – and consider them the very best in the market. Aboard Uniworld’s S.S. Joie de Vivre for 4 nights, you will be joined by renowned historians and authors John McManus, PhD, and Craig Symonds, PhD, both experts on World War II. Transfer to Normandy and your chateau for an additional four nights and coach touring to the battlefields of D-Day and beyond. Throughout the journey, these special guests will bring interesting historical insight to the places you will visit through a custom lecture series. Accompanied by local battlefield guides and with access to the digital archives of The National WWII Museum, this is truly the best, most educational, and luxurious way to dive deeper into your study of the rich cultural and military history of the region of Normandy. Guests may also choose to relive the joys of the long-awaited liberation of the “City of Light” during an optional three-night Paris pre-cruise program. Even if you have visited France before, I encourage you not to miss this poignant and unforgettable luxury cruise voyage and chateau stay – an exclusive offered only by The National WWII Museum. We are honored to share the stories of the heroes to whom we owe so much. Sincerely, Stephen J. Watson President & CEO, The National WWII Museum “This was an amazing trip. We have traveled around the world, but this trip was more meaningful than any we have taken because of the history of the places we visited. What happened in Normandy and the rest of France had an enormous impact on us as Americans. Our lives would have been very different had the Normandy invasion failed. We can’t wait to visit the Museum and share what we learned on our trip with our children and grandchildren.” – Sharon A., La Jolla, CA “This trip was truly the finest we have been on from start to finish. Every aspect showed attention to detail, comfort, learning, and enjoyment. We have already recommended this to friends. Thank you so very much for such a wonderful and meaningful voyage.” – Carolyn B., Louisville, KY TOP PHOTO THIS PAGE: CRUISE ON THE RIVER SEINE. MIDDLE PHOTO LEFT: CHÂTEAU BERNAVILLE.
