We've designed this media guide to assist you throughout the weekend, whether it be to reference historical data, information on this year's event or information and statistics on our six weekend races. It also includes a section on transportation, hotels and restaurants to make your stay in Long Beach more efficient and enjoyable. Our three-day weekend is packed with activities on and off the track. In addition to the racing, two concerts will take place: on Friday night at 6:45 p.m., the Tecate Light Fiesta Friday concert will feature popular Mexican rock band "Moderatto," while on Saturday night, "SMG Presents Kings of Chaos Starring Billy Idol, Billy Gibbons and Chester Bennington" will entertain the Grand Prix crowd at the Rock-N-Roar Concert. The Lifestyle Expo, located in the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, will see more than 180,000 Grand Prix fans walk through multiple times. Our annual media luncheon takes place on Thursday, April 6, and will feature drivers from many of the racing series that will be here over the weekend. Quaker Chemical and Newgarden Look To Finish Strong In Fontana August 29, 2014 CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Aug. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing (SFHR) with driver Josef Newgarden has been on a bit of a tear in the Verizon IndyCar Series as of late. After having a sure victory taken away with a troubled pit stop at the Mid-Ohio round, Newgarden has gone on to score finishes of fifth in Milwaukee and sixth last weekend in Sonoma, after having qualified second at the legendary Napa Valley circuit. The scene now moves south to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California for the MAVTV 500 IndyCar World Championships; the final race of the 2014 Verizon IndyCar World Series. Auto Club Speedway has not been kind to SFHR and Newgarden in their last two visits there, 20th in 2012 and 16th last year, but Newgarden fully expects a great result to finish the season. Quaker Chemical Corporation, an official sponsor and technical partner of Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing, will again have its logos adorn Newgarden's IndyCar in Fontana as well as its lubricants inside the No. 67 SFHR Dallara/Honda. "We are looking forward to another great finish from SFHR to close out the IndyCar season," Joe Berquist, Quaker VP and Managing Director North America, said. "And are excited to see how our custom engineered greases can give SFHR an advantage over 500 miles on the fast and bumpy Auto Club Speedway Track." I am still in the process of developing the agenda but would ask that you bring your copy of HEA 1006 with you so that in addition to reviewing the DOC grant application process, we can also include in our time together a discussion about areas for policy development (i.e. we already determined that a definition of recidivism will be necessary); educational opportunities—for the Council and for other criminal justice stakeholders; and evaluation issues.
