As part of that, your goal for census 2019 is to have at least 19,700 young people, supported by at least 6,300 adults (including Network*). [This is a goal based on 17,402 young people and 4,463 adults on your 2014 census] [NOTE: Your census 2015 outcome was 17,517 young people and 4,461 adults] [Your 2016 Census outcome was 17,723 young people and 5,146 adults] [Your 2017 Census outcome was 17,999 young people and 7,152 adults] Planning information : derived from your 2017 census outcome Growth The gap between your latest census outcome and your census 2019 goal is 1,701 young people The average section size in the County is 19, so the equivalent of 90 new Sections are required. Missing Sections: There are 32 sections required to make every Group & District complete (with at least one Colony, one Pack, one Troop and one Explorer Unit) 32 new sections at 20 per Section would add 640 new young people, which is 38% of the 1,701 needed to reach your goal. Small Sections: There are 167 Sections with fewer than 12 members (and 17 which have fewer than 5 members) If all of those Sections reached 12 members, that would add a further 500 young people, which would be an additional 29% towards your goal. Waiting Lists: On the census there are 2,313 young people declared to be on waiting lists. This is 136% of the gap between the latest census outcome and your goal of an additional 1,701 young people There are 68 sectional waiting lists of 12 or greater. 68 new sections at 20 per section would add 1360 which is 80% of the 1,701 needed to reach your goal. Young Leaders: The Goal is to have at least 2 Young Leaders in every Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop There are currently 615 Young Leaders across 283 Colonies, 296 Packs and 263 Troops To achieve at least two in every Section there would need to be at least an additional 1145 Young Leaders, which is 67% of the 1,701 needed to reach your goal. Inclusivity There are 652 Sections with fewer than 5 female young people as members. There are 34 Sections with fewer than 5 male young people as members. If every Section had at least 5 male and 5 female members then this could add 2,152 more members.
