'My passion for becoming a park ranger started when I was a little girl. I’d see rangers working in the high country on family camping trips and think ‘I want to do that.’

As I got older, I took every available opportunity to learn more about what it would take for m e t o o ne day become a ranger.

I completed work experience with DELWP and placement with Habit Creations, as well as volunteering with Parks Victoria and the CFA.

I enjoyed every single minute of it. It made me even more determined that becoming a ranger was the right career pathway for me.

I made the decision to leave school at the end of year 10 to undertake study that was more specific to the career pathway I w a n t e d

I enrolled in Horticulture and Conservation Land Management with CCG. Although leaving school early was a tough choice to make, I don’t regret making that decision for myself.
