Kyle Smith Wins the 2019 FIM Europe Supersport Cup Kyle
30th September 2019 Press Release n. 96 European Supersport Cup 600: Kyle Smith wins the 2019 FIM Europe Supersport Cup Kyle Smith (Team Pedercini Racing) was able to clinch the 2019 FIM Europe Supersport Cup title at Circuit de Nevers Magny Cours in France following a year of intense battle in the ever-competitive series. 2019 had a positive start for Smith that at the first round of the season in Aragón was able to finish inside the top ten, crossing the line in ninth position. But after a strong beginning, the British rider had to experience more difficulties when he headed to The Netherlands seven days later. With the severe weather conditions and the cold temperatures at the TT Circuit Assen, Smith had a tough weekend, and after having qualified sixteenth on the grid, he crashed out in the race while he was fighting for points. Cheered by the Italian fans, Smith scored points in Imola finishing thirteenth, but the same he couldn’t do in Jerez as in a frantic second lap in the race, he crashed out and couldn’t rejoin the race. The FIM Europe Supersport Cup headed back to Italy for Round 7 at Misano World Circuit, but after a good start in the race, Smith eventually dropped down in nineteenth position. Misfortune continued for the British rider, as at his home round at Donington Park a technical issue put an early end to his weekend. Determined to end his 2019 season on a high, Smith returned strong and confident on the Portuguese asphalt after nearly two months of summer break at Portimao. -

2017 FIA Formula One World Championship Monaco Grand Prix
FEDERATION INTERNATIONALE DE L' AUTOMOBILE 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship Monaco Grand Prix Wednesday Drivers’ Press Conference Transcript PART ONE: DRIVERS – Jenson BUTTON (McLaren), Nico HULKENBERG (Renault), Esteban OCON (Force India) PRESS CONFERENCE Q: Jenson, 2009 Monaco GP winner and World Champion of course, welcome back. Unusual circumstances to say the least. What level of preparation have you done for this race and how well do you feel you know the 2017 McLaren F1 car? Jenson BUTTON: First of all it’s great to be back, good to see so many faces I haven’t seen for six months, apart from TV obviously. The preparation has been good; apart from [the fact that] I haven’t obviously driven the car. These new regulations… so it’s not perfect. The option was to do half a day in Bahrain, which I though was absolutely useless for me to do, a completely different type of circuit. I said to the team, I think it’s best if I do a few days in the simulator. Obviously as drivers we love the simulator, so I was raring to go. I spent a lot of time in the simulator getting a feel for it. Yeah, it’s been interesting. You know, most of the stuff is the same, but there are a few things that are obviously different, with the difference in regulations, and there are always… it just changes year to year with new technology and what have you. A few things to learn but it’s still a racing car, just got to get used to it being a bit wider. -
Motorsports Park Vision
Motorsports Park Vision Imagine a racetrack like no other, with the ow of a classic Grand Prix circuit and benets of modern technology. Designed and built with intention, taking advantage of natural elevation changes, and featuring a variety of corners to tempt, test and challenge. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery in Canada’s warmest climate - the motorsport equivalent of Pebble Beach. Location Endless blue skies and a warm desert climate combine to make the South Okanagan Valley the ideal location for Area 27. Home to one of the world’s premier wine tourism regions, the South Okanagan features lakes, beaches and mountains perfectly suited to outdoor sports and recreation. After a day spent enjoying Canada’s outdoor playground, guests are welcomed by numerous resort hotels and ne dining establishments. Hidden in the hills overlooking the valley, Area 27’s two hundred twenty seven acre site provides a hint towards the names origin. The site could be seen from space but not from public vantage points, much like a certain secret base in Nevada. The number 27 was chosen as a tribute to Canadian racing legend Gilles Villeneuve, who claimed the number as his own driving for Ferrari. The Circuit The Area 27 Circuit has the unique distinction of being envisioned, designed, engineered, and constructed by professional racecar drivers. Designed to take advantage of the natural terrain, Area 27’s sixteen turns ow through elevation changes like a favorite country road. Straightaways are long enough to generate speed and to allow the driver time to assimilate the previous corner’s challenge. Great corners are dened by what comes before and what happens after them - Area 27 was built with this in mind. -
