LAMBORGHINI Umbria
The Lamborghini estate lies between the south side of the Trasimeno lake and the beautiful medieval village of Panicale. Situated on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, Cortona is only a few kilometers away. The property was purchased in the 1970s by Ferruccio Lamborghini who fell in love with the area. After his retirement from the famous Lamborghini automobile company, he decided to go back to his roots: being a farmer. The total area is 100 hectares divided between a 9-hole golf course, an agriturismo, and 32 hectares of vineyards. In addition to planting traditional varieties like Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo, Ferrucio also planted Merlot and Products Cabernet Sauvignon, both unusual grapes for the area at that time. In 1997, Patrizia Lamborghini took over the management of the estate pursuing and even Campoleone Umbria IGT strengthening the desire of her father, Ferruccio, to make quality wines. During her Centanni Grechetto Umbria IGT tenure, most of the vineyard has been completely replanted with Sangiovese and Centanni Rosso Umbria IGT Merlot. The new vineyards currently cover a total area of 20 hectares, but future plans include the replanting of the entire vineyard area with a focus on implementing Era Umbria IGT the modern philosophy of high-density planting with selected clones. Lamborghini is Lamborghini Brut Vino Spumante a name that stands for quality in Italy and around the world. The diligent search for Lamborghini Extra Dry Prosecco D.O.C. quality started in 1997 with a focus on the characteristics of the terroir and the Treviso dramatic improvement of the management of the vineyards. As a result of these Torami Umbria IGT efforts, the estate was able to introduce modern award-winning reds such as Trescone Umbria IGT Campoleone, Trescone, Torami, and Era.
