As you know, winter is a difficult time of year for many of our struggling neighbors. Increased heating expenses put added stress on already tight budgets. The prolonged cold temperatures of this season have made it even harder. This dilemma forces many in our community to make a hard choice between buying food and turning on the heat. There are parents stuck in low-paying jobs, seniors scraping by on meager Social Security checks, and hardworking single mothers struggling to afford groceries. Many turn to the Food Pantry for help.
