Sein sechstes Selbsportrait trägt den Titel The Diary of the Unforgotten und macht auf eindrucksvolle Weise hörbar, wie es um Roedelius’ Seelenleben bestellt war zu jener Zeit. Mit Selbstportrait VI und insbesondere mit dem 24-minütigen, zentralen Stück Hommage à Forst hat Roedelius 1990 eine Flaschenpost abgeschickt, die jetzt (2010) an einem fremden Ufer angekommen ist und gelesen werden kann.
