Document Pack BELFAST CITY COUNCIL SUMMONS TO ATTEND THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE COUNCIL TO: THE RIGHT HONOURABLE THE LORD MAYOR AND COUNCILLORS OF BELFAST CITY COUNCIL Notice is hereby given that the Monthly meeting of the City Council will be held in the Council Chamber, 3rd Floor, Adelaide Exchange on Tuesday, 1st July, 2008 at 6.00 pm, for the transaction of the following business :- 1. Filling of Casual Vacancy - Balmoral District Electoral Area In accordance with Notice previously circulated, to consider, consequent upon the resignation of Councillor Carmel Hanna, the question of the filling of the casual vacancy arising in the Balmoral District Electoral Area and to take such action thereon as may be determined. 2. To take as read and to confirm the minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Council of Monday, 2nd June and the Special Meeting of the Council of Thursday, 26th June, 2008 3. To receive official announcements and memorials, if any. 4. Change of Membership on Committees 5. Change of Deputy Chairmanships 6. Change of Membership on Outside Bodies 7. To receive and adopt the minutes of the proceedings of the Committees as follows: 8. the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee of 28th May and 6th, 13th and 20th June 9. the Parks and Leisure Committee of 16th and 23rd June 10. the Health and Environmental Services Committee of 4th, 18th and 25th June 11. the Licensing Committee of 18th June 12. the Town Planning Committee of 5th and 19th June 13. Notice of Motion - 2 - New Regional Hospital for Children and Women “Belfast City Council calls on the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety and the Northern Ireland Executive to make the completion of new regional hospital for children and women, on the site of the Royal Group of Hospitals, a matter of top priority in the next comprehensive spending review. The Council calls on the Minister of Health and the Executive to secure the resources now for clearing the site, which is an essential first step in progressing the new hospital for children and women. Belfast City Council agrees to work in partnership with the Royal Maternity Hospital Liaison Group to lobby the Northern Ireland Executive and Northern Ireland Assembly to secure the capital funds necessary to build the new regional hospital for children and women. “ The Members of Belfast City Council are hereby summoned to attend the meeting.
