APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR CLIENT: None

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step program for any one with a hurt, a habit or a hang-up that is causing dysfunction in their lives. CR is a structured program that takes Biblical truths and proven curriculum and applies it to any destructive behavior, hurt, or habit that keeps the individual in physical, emotional, mental or spiritual bondage. Celebrate Recovery was founded 18 years ago by Pastor Rick Warren and Pastor John Baker out at Saddleback Church in California. The Celebrate Recovery ministry has grown world-wide and can be found in churches all over the nation, as well as internationally. The major difference in CR and the more traditional, secular 12-step programs is the concept of the "higher power". In Celebrate Recovery we identify our "higher power" as Christ, whereas in other 12-Step groups the "higher power" can be defined as many different things. Another component a participant will find at CR that they will not find at the secular programs is the Praise and Worship segment. Celebrate Recovery also offers in- depth Step studies that run simultaneously with the program. A participant may come to CR on the program evening and also participate on a different day or night in a year-long , in- depth step study. Celebrate Recovery makes use of sponsors and accountability partners- so no one is left to walk the road to recovery alone. Celebrate Recovery's group guidelines insure that the small groups are safe, confidential and growth-producing.
