MATHILDA’S BROTHER, ALFRED GUSTAV DOEBBLER, PURCHASED THE PROPERTY IN 1896. A RESPECTED STONEMASON, HE ADDED DRESSED STONE, TRIPLING THE SIZE OF THE HOUSE AND MOVING THE DOOR TO THE CENTER OF THE FOOTPRINT.
