Abstract Lectotypes of lycaenid taxa (azz{rezas, cabvartts, dobbensis, gmcigis) described by RUber (1886) are designated and figured.

I have examined some type specimens of Indo-Australian Lycaenidae preserved in Staat- liches Museum fUr Tierkunde, Dresden (SMT) in 1986. A catalogue enumerating them appeared in this journal

Since Fruhstorfer (1916), a`-ureus has been known as a subspecies of IVZzcadztba angusta (H. Druce, 1873) from Sulawesi. However, two male syntypes of this taxon preserved in SMT were revealed te be Aidcadztba Pavana (Horsfield, [1828]). I designate as lectotype of "Original a2ureus a male figured in R6ber's original description, labelled [pink]/Plebeius Azureus m.10st-Celebes Tombugu H. KUhn 1885,fColl. C. Ribbe Gesch. : Leo Lewin 1913- N.1 [yellow]/abgebildet [green]/Staatl, Museum fUr Tierkunde Dresden/Le ¢ totype Plebeius azureus ROber, 1886 Takanami, 1991 [pink]". As a result of this correction, a nominal taxon visttna Seitz, 1923 is sunk into a synonym of agurezts.

IVttcaduba pactotus cabrorus (R6ber, 1886), comb. & stat. n. (Figs. 3-4)

There is no review of the status of cabrortts since ROber's description, I examined a "Original female syntype of cabrorus and designate it as lectotype. The lectotype labelled [pink]/Plebejus Cabrorus m./Aru-Junseln Ureiuning C: Ribbe l884/Coll. C. Ribbe Gesch. : Leo Lewin 1913-N. 1 [blue]/abgebildet [green]IStaatl, Museurn fUr Tierkunde Dresden/ Lectotype Plebeius cabrorus R6ber, 1886 Takanami, 1991 [pink]". The lectotype 9 with hairly eyes. The second segment of labial palpus clothed with protrude black and white scales, The forewing with eleven veins ; veins 11 and 12 partly anastomosed ; the origin of vein 10 much closer to vein 11 than to vein 7. Upperside of both wings with pale purplish blue sheen in the whitish areas in a side light ; the blue markings much brighter at the basal area. Underside of both wings pale yellow, with prominent black submarginal markings and faint inner markings. The upperside resem- bles that of IVhacaduba Pactoins (C. Felder, 1860), while the underside recalls Aitzcadztba angztstn

Nacaduba berenice dobben$is (R6ber, 1886) (Figs. 5-6, di genitalia fig. 10)

IVIicad"ba beninice dobbensis: Fruhstorfer, 1916: 129; Seitz, 1923: 918, pl. 154, fig. d2 {diT);Tite, 1963: 78; D'Abrera, 1971:348 -,nec 4 (?=beroe).

Both sexes of dobbensis are figured in ROber's original description, but I think they are not the same species. The male is AJkecaduba bexenice (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1869), while the female must be fonolyce helicon (C. Felder, 186e). I here designate as lectotype of dobben- "Original sis the male labelled [pink]IP]ebejus Dobbensis m.fAru-Junsel Wamma Dobbo C,Ribbe 1883fColl. C.Ribbe Gesch.:Leo Lewin 1913-N.1 [blue]labgebildet [green]/ Staatl, Museum fUr Tierkunde Dresden/Lectotype Plebeius dobbensis ROber, 1886 Ta- kanami, 1991 [pink]". Ialso examined a pair of paralectotypes of dobbensis, though the female is not a figured specimen but the same species as lectotype. This taxon resembles IVizcacinfba cop'etani Tite, 1963, but the submarginal yellow lunules on underside hindwing are only present in spaces lb and 2, and the valvae have smaller teeth on the distal margin as in berenice.

コ ミ 後模 式 の 指 定 を伴 い 調査 結 果 を記 録 し た （蝶 と 蛾 第 40 巻 1 号）， レ ク シ ョ ン に exJohannesRober fJ そ の 初 期 に 創設 した タ ク サ の 模式 標 本 も か な り含 まれ て い た が ，当時 は 準 備 不 足 か らそ の 十 分な調査 が 一 で きな か っ た ．今回，以 前 か らそ の 位 置 づ け に 疑 問 の あ っ た Nacaduba ， Prosotas各属 の 部 の タ ク サ に

つ い て ，同 博物館 か ら模 式標本 を借 り受 け再 検 討 を行 っ た。

1873＞の ス ラ ウ ェ シ 亜 種 と し て 扱 わ れ て い た Plebeitts azuretts ROber ，1886 は ，2 ♂ の 総模式標本 を 調 査 し た 結果 ，い ず れ も Nacaduba pavana （Horsfield，［1828］） と 同種 と 判断 さ れ た ．こ こ で ROber が原 記 載 に 図示 し た 個体 を a2ureUS の 後模 式 に 指 定 し ， Pavana の 亜種 に 改 め て 位 置 づ け た ．ま た こ れ ま で ス

ラ ウ ェ シ 産 N2 ‘α 4z‘加 Pavanaの 亜 種 名 と し て 使 用 され て い た visuna Seitz，1923を a2ureus の 主観 シ ノ ニ ム と し た 。

て い の か か の cabroras る に も わ ら ず ，そ 後新 た な 標本 が得 ら れ な か っ た た め か Plebeibls ROber ，1886 は

こ で の い の タ プ れ ま そ 位 置 づ け が 再 検討 さ れ て な か っ た ．今 回 イ 標本 の 調 査 の 結 果，翅 脈 や 斑 紋 そ の 111i ， か 翩 占π 〃 鯔 Nacaduba C ． Felder 1860 産地 な ど ら Pactolus（ ， ）の 1 亜 種 で あ る と 判 断 し た ．

α 1886 Nac duba berenice dobbensis． plebeiusdobhensalgR6ber ， の 原 記 載 に は 両 性 が 写 真 で 図 − 示 され て い る ．それ か ら判断す れ ば， ♂ は 現在 の 取 り 扱 い の よ うに Nacaduba berenice（Herrich Schaeffer，1869） と 考 え ら れ る が，♀は 明 ら か に 別種 で ，恐 ら く helicon（C， Felder，1860） と で 同種 あ る ．今 回検 し た 総 模式 2 ♂ 1 ♀（♀は 原記載 の 写真 の 個 体 で は な く，明 ら か に bereniceだ っ た ） の 中 か ら ユ ♂ を後 模 式 に 指定 し た ． 一 Prosotαs gr α citis gracilis． Plebeias gracilis R6ber ，1886 は 恐 ら く ♂ の 単 個体 に 基 づ き記載 さ れ た もの だ が，規約 の 勧 告 に 従 い ， こ こ で 後 模 式 を指 定 し た 。 （Accepted September 29，199ユ）
