They remain engaged in agricultural activities for 5 (five) months in a year only for producing monocrop of rice & vegetables. For the rest of the year they migrate to nearby towns & cities for earning through daily labour. They also earn some income in a highly unstructured manner through making of Babui grass rope, Sal leaf plates, Neem sticks, Baskets with Antari Lata and also by selling fire woods. Average Earning - Rs. 40/- per head per day (excluding the children) Cultivator - @ 45/- per head per day. Agricultural Labourer - @ 40/- per head per day. Marginal Worker - @ 35/- per head per day.
