We are honored to display it in his memory. 20 Years of Focus Focus On AIDS was established in March of 1987 by a group of people in the creative community effected by the daily loss of lives to AIDS. The original founding members: Hossein Farmani, Candace McKendree Falk, Susan Baraz, Ron Bakal, G. Ray Hawkins, Laura Hinds, Robert Berman, Jodi Rappaport, Robert Berman, Madeline Leonard, Price Deratzian and Henry Eshelman. Since then, FOA has raised over $2.8 million which has been donated to various organizations. UNTIL THE CURE FOR AIDS IS FOUND. BENEFICIARIES INCLUDE: FOCUS ON AIDS (FOA) is a non-profit, 100% volunteer-based organization whose purpose is to provide financial aid to photog- raphy professionals living with HIV and AIDS as well as to assist “hands on” AIDS organizations globally. Since 1987, Focus On AIDS has produced a photography benefit auction every 18 S TATEMENT of PURPOSE months that is the largest benefit of its kind in the world, to raise money for AIDS treatment, research, education and care. 20 years of Focus… and until the cure for AIDS is found. ASHA KIRANA HOSPITAL Center for AIDS Care & Research, is a voluntary organization located in Mysore, India, addressing the issue of HIV/AIDS. It is the only center in this region providing awareness, VCT services and continuum of care. In 2004, Asha Kirana built a hospital for children with HIV/AIDS.. ACRES OF LOVE is an established Republic of South Africa (RSA) non-profit organization with an excellent six year track record of providing the very highest quality of community-based and cultur- ally appropriate and competent comprehensive care for abandoned and HIV/AIDS infants and childrenn. THE CHILDREN’S CIRCLE formally Caring for Babies with AIDS is a nonprofit organization established in 1987 for the purpose of providing the highest possible quality of life for HIV/AIDS infect- ed, affected and at risk children, youth and families in a safe and stable environment. An addition to their facility was made possi- ble through Focus On AIDS.. UCLA AIDS INSTITUTE Through laboratory research and coordi- nated patient care, the UCLA AIDS Institute is leading the world- wide effort to eradicate HIV and AIDS. The Institute’s dedicated scientists are committed to developing more effective education and prevention strategies for at-risk communities around the world, and better treatments for all people living with HIV. Innovative research programs that aim to develop a safe and effective HIV vaccine are among the UCLA AIDS Institute’s very highest priorities.
