SYNOPSIS Roger Dean (Steven Culp), a successful businessman, has been chronically unhappy for years. Over time, he has attempted a wide range of remedies, some prescribed, some not; some orthodox, some radical, but none have worked for him. At the end of his rope, he approaches PDLAS, a mysterious private company that promises an effective—but irrevocable—solution. He is assured that the company has a 100% success rate, and that he will emerge “completely refreshed.” What ultimately happens to Roger is of course much, much more than he bargained for. This particular facility was located in an office building that was deserted, because it was night and all the regular building and office workers were gone. There wasn’t a soul around until you got to the actual, dimly lit clinic office, where everyone looked sleep-deprived.” “In general I think there’s a universal feeling that being in a medical facility and dealing with medical staff—when you’re usually at your most vulnerable—can be stressful and depressing.
