Sired by Great Tom, the winner ofthe St. James floral still life of vased flowers, in an artist-rendered frame, Palace Stakes at Ascot and the Doncaster Stakes at signed 1.1.;16 x 12 in., 23 x 19 in. (framed). Estimates: Doncaster in 1876, the Breeders' Hand Book and Guide $4,000 - 6,000 named General Harding "the best two-year old winner of 1883." The racehorse earned this accolade after he won nine races out of ten starts, includingthe Harold Stakes, which many considered to be one of the top two-year old stakes in the Lot: 4 United States.
