Information about what's new and what's changed since the last release.

Changes to the SAP Mobile Cards Application User Interface (UI)

The Flip Card action has been removed from the Actions menu and the function can now be accessed directly.

User Guide SAP Mobile Cards for iOS 4 PUBLIC What's New in SAP Mobile Cards 2 Overview

SAP Mobile Cards enables you to share data from your desktop computer to your mobile device.

 Note

SAP Mobile Cards is currently available only to running the latest two versions of iOS. Note the following restriction for iOS 12: SAP Mobile Cards does not support iPhone 5 even if it runs on iOS 12.

When you are working remotely, and using your computer isn't practical, SAP Mobile Cards allows you to share content from Fiori applications from your desktop computer's SAP Fiori launchpad to your iPhone allowing you "any time from anywhere" access to the most up-to-date business data available. SAP Mobile Cards displays information from your desktop in a mobile-friendly format.

SAP Mobile Cards displays data in the form of cards that are grouped by card type and stored in a single card deck. Storing the cards in one location allows you to look at information from various sources without toggling between different apps. For example, if you need information about a range of products, the app can store multiple cards—one for each different product—all in one place. Cards are updated each time you launch the app or add a new card, and information is available on both the front and the back of each card. You can add, delete, or edit a card at any time.

 Note

Card type is determined by the template used to create a Fiori application. For additional Information about card types, contact your system administrator.

Publishing content to your iPhone takes only two simple steps:

1. From your desktop computer, through the SAP Fiori launchpad, select the Fiori application content you want to publish to the SAP Mobile Cards app on your iPhone. 2. Add the content to the card deck on your iPhone.

Even without a network connection, you can still access information in the SAP Mobile Cards app thanks to its offline capabilities. Snapshots of cards, with the most up-to-date information that was available before you went offline, are stored in the card deck. While offline, you can view both the front and the back of each card and delete them.

User Guide SAP Mobile Cards for iOS Overview PUBLIC 5 3 Installing the Application

To use SAP Mobile Cards, you must install the application on your iPhone.

You can download the app directly from the Apple App Store. The application installs the SAP Mobile Cards app icon on your iPhone's home screen.

User Guide SAP Mobile Cards for iOS 6 PUBLIC Installing the Application 4 Launching the Application

Launch the application by tapping the SAP Mobile Cards application icon.

User Guide SAP Mobile Cards for iOS Launching the Application PUBLIC 7 5 Registering the Application

Register SAP Mobile Cards so that it can retrieve application settings from the server.

Context

If your system administrator has automatically configured SAP Mobile Cards, you won't see the registration screen. Instead, you'll see the logon screen. If that's the case, go directly to Logging on to the Application [page 9].

If your system administrator hasn't automatically configured SAP Mobile Cards, follow the steps below to register the app. You only need to register the app the first time you use it, or if you reset or reinstall it. Once you've registered the app, you'll be able to receive card information and updates on your iPhone.

User Guide SAP Mobile Cards for iOS Logging on to the Application PUBLIC 9 7 Setting a Passcode

Set a passcode to prevent unauthorized access to your SAP Mobile Cards application.

Context

When you set a passcode, anyone trying to access SAP Mobile Cards from your mobile device must enter the passcode. Using a passcode provides additional security to prevent unauthorized access.

Your app passcode is different from your password. A passcode is stored locally on your device and is never shared with the server or any other system. Your password authenticates you against the server so that the app can securely communicate with the server to send and receive data.

 Note

Your system administrator decides if a passcode is required. If you do not see an option to set a passcode and want to set one, follow the steps in the Procedure section below.

The application uses the following default passcode settings:

● Must be at least eight characters. ● Must contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter. ● Must contain a special character. ● Must contain at least one digit. ● Must contain at least two unique characters.

 Note

Your system administrator can override these default settings.

Procedure

To change, set or disable your passcode, do the following in the Mobile Cards app: ○ Tap the More tab at the bottom-right of the screen ○ Tap Settings In the Security section of the Settings screen, you'll see options to change your passcode and to turn your passcode on or off.
