A circular walk passing along the cliffs at Kilve and returning through fields a short distance inland. There are good coastal views across the Bristol Channel to South . Kilve Beach is a good place to hunt for fossils.

Getting there East Quantoxhead lies approximately half a mile off the main running between and . The village is signposted shortly after passing through Kilve.

Refreshments can be obtained at the Chantry Gardens behind Kilve Church.

Public toilets are available at Kilve Beach car park.

Route instructions [1] Exit car park into road and turn right and then immediately left by the side of the duckpond and follow a broad track down past the thatched cottage at the side of the duckpond. On reaching a junction by the side of the Court House gardens on the left turn left and follow path to reach the edge of cliffs. Turn right and follow path alongside the cliffs. On reaching a gate pass through it and follow the well defined path down to the Kilve Beach car park.

[2] Turn sharp left and follow a wide trck a short distance to a gate going into a field. Turn left and follow path alongside fence on the right. At cliff edge turn right annd cross a stile and then follow path along the clifftops. Continue ahead until reaching the observation tower.

[3] Turn right just before the tower to follow a permissive path which runs along the edge of a field. Walk with the hedge on your left. At the bottom of the field turn right and continue to walk with the hedge on your left. After rounding a sharp lefthand corner go ahead to the wide entrance to the next field then immediately turn left and follow the path round the edge of the field. On entering the next field continue to follow with the hedge on your left. Continue to follow the path through fields and a wood on the left. At the end of the wood a path joins from the left. Pass into the next field now with the hedge on your right and walk ahead to the entrance to a field on your right. Pass through the gap and turn left to join a track which in a short distance reaches a road. Turn right and continue to a junction with a road by Kilve duck pond.

[4] Turn right and follow the road to reach Kilve church on your l#eft. Pass through the church gateway and follow the path alongside the church and through a gate into a field. Turn left and in a short distance reach a wide track. Turn right and cross a stream by a sleeper bridge and then follow the path ahead across fields and alongside East Wood to reach a gate. Pass through gate and return up the track to East Quantoxhead Duck Pond.
