2018 Appointed in a “working committee” by the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the 22th of May. The purpose of the committee was to write an opinion on whether Iceland is in breach of protocol 35 to the EEA Agreement, as the EFTA Surveillance Authority claims, in a letter of formal notice from the 13th of December 2017. Also to suggest changes to the EEA law 2/1993.

2018 Written opinion on administrative issues, for the Audit Council, cf. Act no. 79/2008 on auditors, delivered on February 19.

2015 and 2017 A member of a committee, appointed by the dean of the faculty of Law in Reykjavík University, with the responsibility to recommend to the dean two candidates for academic positions.

2016-2017 Advisor for a working group set up under the Prime Minister´s Office to address whether any changes should be made to law nr. 15/2005 regarding publications of EEA law in Iceland.

2012-2015 Vice-chairman of the Icelandic Financial Supervisory Authority. Temporarily appointed Chairman of the board from September- December 2013.

2011-2012 Editorial board member of the web journal “Evrópuvefurinn” which has the goal to inform the Icelandic population about the European Union. The web was established by the Icelandic parliament and is sponsored by the state.

2013 Main organizer of the conference “Access to the EFTA Court”. Conference hosted by Reykjavik University on April 12, 2013 Four speakers participated, including Dr. Carl Baudenbacher president of the EFTA Court.

2012 Member of a organizer committee, appointed by the Icelandic Association of Lawyers for “Lagadagur” [The day of Law] which is a yearly conference for lawyers in Iceland organized by the Judges Association, the Bar Association and the Association of Lawyers. There were about 500 participants and over 30 speakers.

2011 Main organizer and moderator of the conference “Iceland´s application to the European Union. Conference hosted by Reykjavik University February 15, 2011. The key speaker was Stefán Haukur Jóhannesson, Ambassador and the Chief Negotiator with the European Union.
