Gautschi, Telefon 044 720 49 07, www.schnelldruck-thalwil.ch Konzertsponsor Back to the Roots ANDREAS VOLLENWEIDER & FRIENDS Der Weltmusiker gibt seinem Heimatdorf die Ehre Andreas Vollenweider, 1953 in Zürich als Sohn von Hans Vollenweider, einem der führenden Organisten Europas, geboren, wuchs in einer künstlerisch vielseitigen und inspirierenden Umgebung im Haus „zum Institut“ in Thalwil auf, wo sein Vater viele Jahre als Organist tätig war, bevor er ans Zürcher Grossmünster wechselte. 1975 entdeckte Andreas Vollenweider die Harfe für sich, entwickelte eine eigene Spieltechnik und modifizierte das Instrument nach seinen Bedürfnissen. Es entstand ein eigenständiges Instrument, die elektro-akustische Harfe. Seit der Veröffentlichung seines ersten Albums vor 28 Jahren ist Andreas Vollenweider mit einem Grammy Award und zwei weiteren Grammy-Nominationen, dem World Music Award und verschiedenen hohen Auszeichnungen geehrt worden, hat mit seiner Harfe in den grössten Konzerthäusern der Welt gespielt und bis heute achtzehn Alben aufgenommen, die sich weltweit über zehn Millionen mal verkauft haben, zuletzt die vierstündige DVD mit Konzertausschnitten über 25 Jahre unter dem Titel „The Magical Journeys of Andreas Vollenweider“ (2006), das Album „Midnight Clear“, featuring Carly Simon (2006), und die Doppel CD „Andreas Vollenweider & Friends – 25 years live“ im vergangenen Jahr. Andreas Vollenweider ist der erste Musiker, der in den USA gleichzeitig in den Pop-, Klassik- und Jazzcharts war. Der Schweizer Weltstar, kürzlich als neues Mitglied in die Jury des Grammy Award gewählt, hat mit illustren Grössen wie Bobby McFerrin, Zucchero, Bryan Adams, Milton Nascimento, Abdullah Ibrahim, Carly Simon, Ray Anderson oder Luciano Pavarotti musiziert und aufgenommen. Für den JCT ist es eine grosse Ehre, Andreas Vollenweider mit seinen Freunden Daniel Küffer und Andi Pupato für zwei Konzerte zu Gast zu haben. Die zahlreichen Live-Auftritte in der ganzen Welt haben die Band zusammen geschweisst und das Programm zu einem Musikerlebnis verdichtet, das Zeit und Raum vergessen lässt. VORANZEIGE Samstag, 27.
