It is my honor and privilege to welcome you all to the 84th Annual Western Michigan Yachting Association Championship Regatta. The WMYA is without a doubt one of the best run, most fun, family oriented, yet competitive regattas in the Midwest. Our traditions run deep and our family ties help sustain and grow this organization and our member clubs. I am proud to say that my grandfather William R. Munroe was the Commodore back in 1966, and now it is my turn to give back to the WMYA. I want to thank all of the volunteers that support both the WMYA and the White Lake Yacht Club. It is truly a pleasure to be working with so many enthusiastic friends who give freely of their time to make this awesome event happen. It is through your hard work and dedication that we have this week to enjoy. Three cheers to the VOLUNTEERS. Thank You All!!! Renew old friendships, make new ones, sail fast and have fun!
