Rockin' at Regency Furniture Stadium Posted by TBN On 03/19/2009 The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs have announced a new partnership with Kool Productions LLC, designed to enhance the quality of non-game day events at Regency Furniture Stadium, for the benefit of Charles County and the surrounding communities. The partnership is off to a terrific start, as the team has also announced two major concert events at its stadium this summer. To kick off the summer concert series, ground breaking hip-hop artists T-Pain and Flo Rida will perform at Regency Furniture Stadium on Saturday, June 6. The gates will open at 6 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m. T-Pain burst onto the music scene during the winter of 2005 with his debut album Rappa Ternt Sanga and his first single “I’m Sprung.” In 2007 he released his sophomore album Epiphany featuring more hit singles “Buy U a Drank” (featuring Yung Joc) and “Bartender.” These albums and songs helped establish T-Pain as a leading R&B and hip-hop contemporary artist. Flo Rida has been breaking records with smash-hit singles “Low” (featuring T-Pain) and more recently “Right Round.” These songs made it to the top of nearly every chart, making Flo Rida a household name even before his Atlantic Records album Mail on Sunday was released in 2008. His new album R.O.O.T.S., including the new single “Sugar” is due to be released March 31. Regency Furniture Stadium and Kool Productions will usher in a much different genre of music in July, with another chart topping artist. Trace Adkins will perform a special holiday show on Saturday, July 4. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., and the show will start at 6:30 p.m. First showing up on the country music scene in 1996, Adkins’ steady rise to the top culminated with #1 singles “Ladies Love Country Boys” in 2006 and “You’re Gonna Miss This” in 2007. Perhaps his most recognizable hit, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” was released in 2005. Adkins first achieved stardom with his platinum selling album “Dreamin’ Out Loud,” on the Capitol Nashville label in 1996, featuring hit single “Every Light in the House.” “Last year, we got our feet wet with two great concert events at the stadium, and Kool Productions really delivered both times,” said Southern Maryland Blue Crabs General Manager Chris Allen. “Now that we’re official partners, I’m sure we’ll set an even higher standard for non-game day entertainment at the ballpark, and great events like these will continue.” Kool Productions have additional concert dates at Regency Furniture Stadium planned for August 15 and September 19. Fans should go to www.somdbluecrabs.com and www.koolproductionsllc.com for more information about these mega concert events. “Partnering with the Blue Crabs certainly excites us, and both sides will benefit significantly,” said Ray Mertz, Managing Partner of Kool Productions. “They offer a top-notch concert venue, and we can secure the top level acts such as the ones coming to Regency Furniture Stadium this summer,” continued Mertz.
