ABRIR CAPÍTULO 4 OBJETO REPRESENTADO-OBJETO PRESENTADO Relación entre naturaleza muerta e instalación en Richard Artschwager - CONCLUSIONES - CONCLUSIONES La presente Tesis, en su propia formulación, plantea dos vías de investigación concurrentes, que plantean como resultado dos conclusiones fundamentales: La primera, de carácter más general, trata de la relación existente entre la presentación y la representación plástica de objetos (de la que se da cuenta en el apartado CA) La segunda se refiere a la relación entre la naturaleza muerta (como aplicación plástica del concepto objeto representado), y la instalación <en relación al de objeto presentado>, en la práctica artística de Richard Artschwager <tratada en el apartado C.2) Del propio desarrollo de la investigación, por otra parte, se derivan una serie de conclusiones de carácter general en relación a la confluencia entre naturaleza muerta e instalación (a las que se refiere el apartado C.3) 443 : C. 1: EL PROCESO DE PRESENTACIÓN ARTÍSTICA COMO VARIABLE REPRESENTATIVA. The findings are presented to educate parents and teachers concerning what has been learned about violent students. It was determined that there is no profile of a typical youth who kills. The shooter is neither impulsive nor spontaneous, but sees the shooting as a way to solve a problem. The shooters told friends of their grievances and shared information about the violence they planned. Acquiring weapons was never .a problem, since most youth had access to weapons in their homes. The articles point to the inherent problems associated with the current response schools are using to counter school shootings. They warn about over-reliance on metal detectors, SWAT teams, and zero-tolerance policies. Suggestions are made about the importance of listening to students; how to deal fairly with bullying; how to improve the school climate; the need to keep guns away from children; and the importance of investigating when a student raises a concern. The articles in Part 1 examine actions of the shooters; discuss bullying; and present tips on listening. -

After this introduction the concert itself began with a performance of Ben Patterson's Paper Piece. Two performers entered the stage from the wings carrying a large 3'x15' sheet of paper, which they then held over the heads of the front of the audience. At the same time, sounds of crumpling and tearing paper could be heard from behind the on-stage paper screen, in which a number of small holes began to appear. The piece of paper held over the audience's heads was then dropped as shreds and balls of paper were thrown over the screen and out into the audience. As the small holes grew larger, performers could be seen behind the screen. The initial two performers carried another large sheet out over the audience and from this a number of printed sheets of letter-sized paper were dumped onto the audience. On one side of these sheets was a kind of manifesto: "PURGE the world of bourgeois sickness, `intellectual', professional & commercialised culture, PURGE the world of dead art, imitation, artificial art, abstract art, illusionistic Page 4 [...] FUSE the cadres of cultural, social & political revolutionaries into united front & action."2 The performance of Paper Piece ended as the paper screen was gradually torn to shreds, leaving a paper-strewn stage. -
