In 2017 £4000 for the Howard Doris Centre, £500 towards the war memorial as they had a short fall due to the vat. This year I am giving £300 to The Highland Hospice. This is only possible due to the kindness of local businesses for their donations for my auction on the night of the sea fishing dance which we also do the prizes for the sea angling competition. The raft race is on the Friday night followed by raffles and a barbecue, the Saturday is the sea angling followed by dance, prize giving raffles and the auction. A huge thanks to all the skippers for donating part of the money from the competitors and to everybody who donates for the auction from the clooty dumplings to meals for two at various venues, boat storage and many many more. A massive thanks to one and all, hopefully I will make even more money this year. I would also like to thank everybody who helped and donated towards the Applecross Boatpull which raised a huge amount of money over many years, unfortunately due to not being able to get insurance and the roads being so busy, we are having to hang up our kilts. I will continue to raise money for charity as long as I can.
