Start your tour in Rio De Janeiro - the city that never fails to impress Day 1 Your getaway to South America starts in Rio De Janeiro. On arrival into the Brazil's top-notch tourist destination your friendly Thomas Cook tour manager / local representative will be waiting outside the baggage hall to welcome you. Later proceed to your hotel and check-in. Later in evening enjoy a sumptuous dinner. After a buffet breakfast, proceed on an amazing tour of the city. Your tour begins with a panoramic city view through downtown Rio, passing by the Maracana Stadium, the Sambodrome and Metropolitan Cathedral. Get to know the traditional Cinelandia square with the historical buildings, the Municipal Theatre and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Later you will be taken to the neighbourhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: the Sugar Loaf. Day 3 After breakfast, proceed for a tour of the Argentinean falls. Visitors first arrive to the Visitors Center and walk the Nature´s Interpretation Center. At the Visitors Center, the Green Train leaves from central Station and goes first to Cataratas Station. The option is a short walk through the 'Green Trail' that leads to the beginning of the path towards the Upper and Lower trails. The trails are detached from the jungle´s surface so as to protect the fauna by preventing disruption of their natural trails. From this circuit you have an upper view Day 4 of the falls, enjoying their magnificence with a panoramic view. A walk along the catwalks, some 1200 meters over the islands, takes you to enjoy the most spectacular sight from the most important balcony: the Devil's Gorge. Later for stunning views over the Iguazu River we get to the falls on the Brazilian side. The walkway entering the river next to the Floriano fall gives the visitor a refreshing reception and a gorgeous panoramic view of the lower Iguazu River and the Devil's gorge Canyon. Starting at the Love Park in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture. Later we will go to San Isidro, financial center of the city. After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Day 6 Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today. Later we proceed for guided city tour of Cusco. We will start our Imperial Cusco city tour visiting the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, an impressive fortress of colossal dimensions with rocks that are up to 4 meters tall and surrounded by beautiful views blending together perfectly. Then we will continue to explore Q'enqo, the Puma shrine, and see the sacrificial altar embedded inside a rock cave and Tambomachay and its sacred Day 7 fountains of life. On the route, we will have a panoramic view of Puca Pucará watchtower which guarded the city entrance. After this, we will visit the Korikancha temple, Inti God shrine, on which the Santo Domingo church was built. According to the chronicles, this temple was completely covered in gold in Inca times. Finally, we will go to the Main Square in order to visit the Cathedral and its valuable and beautiful colonial masterpieces such as The Cross which arrived along with the first conquers. Enjoy dinner in the evening. This morning after breakfast, we shall proceed to visit one of the wonders of the world - Machu Picchu. You will start by a train going through the Urubamba Valley, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to the fabulous mountaintop ruins of Machu Picchu. This city is an eye-tantalizing tribute to man in harmony with nature. On arrival, you will notice that within this city, from the intricate terraces and delicate gardens to the complex system of aqueducts, was designed to both promote and preserve the sacred relationship between man and Day 8 nature. On the day of the event, October 2, 2016, there was a light drizzle of rain. The program began with welcoming remarks, which were given by Mr. Carlos Varga, president of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU)-Argentina; Mr. Miguel Werner, secretary general of UPF- Argentina; and Mr. Emanuel Sayavedra, president of the Collegiate Association for Research of Principles (CARP)-Argentina. The start line of the 7 km (4.3 miles) Peace Road route was the zero-mile marker at the Mariano Moreno Plaza in front of the National Congress building. The walking tour stopped at the homes of historical men and women, including José de San Martín, considered the “Father of the Nation;” Manuel Belgrano, who created the Flag of Argentina; and María Antonia de San José (also known as Mama Antula), who is considered the “spiritual mother of Argentina.” Stops were also made at the Metropolitan Cathedral, which is the main Catholic church in Buenos Aires; the Santo Domingo Convent; and La Piedad Church, where Ambassador for Peace Mr. Christian Oreb, general coordinator of Red Cooperar, a civil society network, shared interesting stories about San Martín and Belgrano with the participants.
