Updates and Perspectives on South American Paleopathology” THIRD ANNOUNCEMENT Dear colleagues: The Organizing Committee of the VI Paleopathology Association Meeting in South America (PAMinSA VI) welcomes the wide reception of the call made for participation in this scientific meeting. In this announcement, we present new information regarding the activities that will be developed on August 12, 13 and 14, 2015. In addition, we inform about a post-congress workshop, discounts on accommodation and other news. VENUE: The meeting will be held two venues: the Auditorium of the National Bank of Argentina, located at Rivadavia Street 325, opposite the historic Plaza de Mayo, , and the Cultural Center "Paco Urondo" (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, University of Buenos Aires ), 25 de Mayo Street 201. Both sites are located in the downtown of the City of Buenos Aires, just 200 meters apart. 1 PAMinSA VI VI Paleopathology Association Meeting in South America Buenos Aires - Argentina – 12 a 14 Agosto de 2015 LANGUAGES: The Organizing Committee got the financial support needed to offer participants the simultaneous translation (English-Spanish and Spanish- English). In this regard, we encourage exhibitors to prepare Power Points both in their native language and in English, for greater interaction between attendees and better communication of the contents of each of the works. When mother tongue is English, it is suggested to prepare also a visual version of the text in Spanish. In this regard, we emphasize that we will provide two projectors to present both versions simultaneously. SESSIONS: The meeting will be divided as follows: SIMPOSIA Symposium 1. On the day of the event, October 2, 2016, there was a light drizzle of rain. The walking tour stopped at the homes of historical men and women, including José de San Martín, considered the “Father of the Nation;” Manuel Belgrano, who created the Flag of Argentina; and María Antonia de San José (also known as Mama Antula), who is considered the “spiritual mother of Argentina.” Stops were also made at the Metropolitan Cathedral, which is the main Catholic church in Buenos Aires; the Santo Domingo Convent; and La Piedad Church, where Ambassador for Peace Mr. Christian Oreb, general coordinator of Red Cooperar, a civil society network, shared interesting stories about San Martín and Belgrano with the participants.
