WHISTLER While the Canadians won 3 medals on the bobsled track at Whistler during the Australia’s tally was zero. Even though it’s summer the Whistler bobsleigh track is open for business, using wheels instead of blades, so Chris and Miguel don Lycra suits and take on the Canadians in a Bobsleigh Speed Trial in an effort to restore some Aussie pride.

ROLLING THUNDER AT WHISTLER SLIDING CENTRE

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world and measures 1,450 metres. During the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games it was the home of bobsleigh, and competitions and now continues to host international competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. The centre is run by Whistler Sport Legacies, a not-for-profit organisation that honours the spirit of sport from the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The Rolling Thunder experience is offered in the summer months, using a bobsled on wheels. No prior bobsleigh experience is required, but all participants must be 12 years or older and meet height and weight safety guidelines.
