Eucharistic Adoration at Sacred Heart: Thursdays 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. No sign up necessary. Corpus Christi: In 1213 AD, a German priest, Peter of Prague went on a pilgrimage to Rome. He stopped and celebrated Mass at Bolsena, Italy. What began as a normal liturgy took a miraculous turn. When he raised the host, he had just consecrated, real blood began to grackle from the host over his hands and onto the altar cloth. After a year of investigation and the miracle confirmed, the bloodstained corporal was brought to the church orvieto where Pope Urban IV was living at that time. Pope Urban IV instituted the Feast of the Body and Blood of Jesus – or Corpus Christi, a year after the miracle. (Deacon Roger) Corpus Christi: Eucharistic Procession with the Blessed Sacrament to Cemetery of Innocents, today, Sunday, June 6 after the 8:00 a.m. Mass, followed by Benediction and Divine Praises. (Deacon Roger) Ushers, Lectors, Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers to the Sick. (Deacon Alvin) The family of David Friske offers a special thank you to Father Dariusz, Deacon Roger, Deacon Michael and the choir for the beautiful funeral Mass celebrated for David. We very much appreciate St. Ann’s Society for bringing desserts, serving the meal and cleaning up after David’s funeral.
