Donna Hoban, M.D., is senior vice president and chief medical officer for Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe, part of Beaumont Health, ’s largest health care system, based on inpatient admissions and net patient revenue.

Dr. Hoban was appointed senior vice president and director of Medical Services at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe in 2007, after the former Bon Secours Hospital was acquired by Beaumont Health System. She later advanced to chief medical officer at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe. In this role, she closely collaborates with medical and hospital leadership, including the Medical Executive Committee, hospital president and elected chief of staff. Dr. Hoban is responsible for overall hospital performance and developing the vision and strategic plan for clinical activities.

Dr. Hoban previously served as president of the medical staff at Bon Secours Hospital from 2005-2006, as well as a board member and trustee of Bon Secours Cottage Health Services.

Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Hoban has held faculty positions in the hospital’s residency programs in family practice and internal medicine. She’s been named a “Top Doc” by HOUR magazine and among the ‘Best Doctors in America” by Woodward and White. She was also named “Teacher of the Year” three times while serving as director of Geriatric Education at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe.

Dr. Hoban received her medical degree from Wayne State University and served her residency in family medicine at Bon Secours Hospital.
