CSCE Annual Report THE CSCE TEAM CREDITS FINANCES Providing a platform from which service-learning and community engagement initiatives can be sustainably implemented is one of CSCE’s most important priorities. Rcognizing the need for adequate financial resources, the department ensures that allocated funds are effectively and efficiently utilized. 23% 25% 48% The Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement (CSCE) man- ages the corporate social responsibility initiatives of Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL). The mandate is to help fulfill MCL’s mission of contributing to the solution of industry’s Fundraising Activities Institutional and society’s problems by the expert application of knowledge. This could be achieved Institutional Service-Learning by providing a platform for integrated learning opportunities for MCL students, ad- ministrators, faculty members, staff, and related stakeholders to foster excellence Sponsorships / Donations Community Engagement and virtue in community service. Ultimately, the goal is to continuously facilitate ser- vice-learning and community engagement initiatives through conscious and sustain- able efforts inspired by the spirit of volunteerism and a strong commitment to service SOURCE OF FUNDS and development. This school year, previous efforts were strengthened and part- nerships were forged in order to ensure the delivery of quality service. As MCL and Fundraising Activities CSCE continue to work with specific communities, effective and efficient allocation of resources, time, and effort are assured. TOTAL In the course of one school year, over 10,000 beneficiaries in different communities around Pangil, Laguna and other partner communities have been reached through Project ECHO and other community service initiatives. MCL continues to CON- NECT with COMMUNITIES through building a shared sense of responsibility between EXPENDITURES: SL + CE INITIATIVES and among the stakeholders involved. It is in the interest of the institution to contin- uously identify projects, programs, and other collaborative initiatives that would put Service-Learning forward excellence and virtue in community service. Community Engagement MCL also takes pride in its learner-centered outcomes based approach that Institutional allows students as well as the entire MCL community to take part in activities that emphasizes the translation of theoretical learning into practical application with social TOTAL relevance. It is indeed, a connection that bridges stakeholder efforts toward growth and development built on a heartfelt desire to serve and affect change. Its objectives in- (AS OF MAY 15, 2017) clude the following: adoption of Panguil River Eco Park and the municipality of Pangil, Laguna as a partner communities; development and delivery of high impact TITLE OF CE PROJECT / PROGRAM COLLEGE / PROGRAM / CLUSTER BENEFICIARY initiatives that would address the needs of the communities within a three-year Brigada Eskwela 2017 time frame; and the evaluation and assessment of the impact of the initiatives. CMET - MT & MarE Public Schools of Cabuyao, Laguna Disaster Preparedness Kits Moreover, the goal is to deliver high impact initiatives focusing on the pillars of Brigada Eskwela 2017 sustainability namely, the environment, the society, and the economy.
