UPDATED OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: EASING OF RESTRICTIONS FOR RAMADAN

Due to government COVID-19 guidance for the safe use of places of worship, we are introducing a new risk assessment policy for Ramadan 2021, which will be implemented on 13th April 2021.

MEASURES BEING PUT IN PLACE TO ENSURE SAFETY INCLUDE: 1. A deep clean and sanitisation of all areas around the centre prior to the opening. 2. Floor markings to ensure that social distancing is in place, to keep attendees 2m away from each other. 3. Quran School will be teaching online and only authorised small groups will be allowed for teaching Qur'an (evening classes). 4. All children under 12 years old will not be allowed access to the masjid. 5. All services will be online or over the telephone, except marriage ceremonies, which will take place in the main hall. 6. Wudhu & toilets area will be open, and restricted to a limited number of people inside. 7. The car park will be closed and will be used for queuing to enter the masjid. The car park at Fielden Park Centre will be open for those attending the Masjid. 8. We encourage those in high risk categories not to come to the masjid for prayers and to pray at home. They will include: - ● If you are currently sick/ill, you are advised to pray at home. If you have any symptoms of COVID- 19 then you should be following UK guidance of isolating and staying away from places of worship ● Those with illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, asthma and others who are vulnerable ● Under government guidance those who have been overseas in the last 14 days should be in self- isolation. They must not attend the during that period.

DAILY PRAYERS: 1. The Masjid will be open daily, throughout Ramadan from 12.30 pm until After Maghrib. The doors will reopen 30 minutes before Isha and close again after sunrise. 2. Attendance for Isha & Traweeh, Fridays, and Eid prayers will be by online booking only. 3. No one will be allowed to enter the masjid unless they have face covering (face masks will be provided at the entrance). 4. A One-way system will be used to ease entering and exiting the masjid. 5. Shoe racks will be sealed and plastic bags will be provided at the entrance for attendees to put their shoes in, which must be kept with them at all times. 6. Copies of the Quran, books and leaflets, along with all printed material will be removed in order to prevent the spread of infection by touching. 7. No food or drinks are allowed inside the Mosque only dates and water will be provided for people to break their fast. 8. No gathering inside the Mosque premises nor in the car park area is allowed. 9. Please download MIC & Mosque App (iOS and Android) for daily prayer time updates.
