Methodology: The study is quantitative and explanatory by nature and it applied the deductive method and questionnaire survey strategy. The study conducted with minimum interference of researcher and individual academics is the unit of analysis. The types of knowledge interaction, university-industry knowledge exchange, and institutional factors were the independent, dependent and moderating variables respectively. A Structural Equation Model is deployed on collected data to explore the moderating impact of the institutional factor on the university-industry knowledge exchange. Implications: It implies that the level of joint, contract research activities, human resource mobility, and training of academic staff are largely wider on the conducive environment and sophisticated facilities of the university.

    BASIC POPULATION INFORMATION ON JAFFNA DISTRICT – 2007 Preliminary Report Based on Special Enumeration – 2007 Department of Census and Statistics June 2008 Foreword The Department of Census and Statistics (DCS), carried out a special enumeration in Eastern province and in Jaffna district in Northern province. The objective of this enumeration is to provide the necessary basic information needed to formulate development programmes and relief activities for the people. This preliminary publication for Jaffna district has been compiled from the reports obtained from the District based on summaries prepared by enumerators and supervisors. A final detailed publication will be disseminated after the computer processing of questionnaires. This preliminary release gives some basic information for Jaffna district, such as population by divisional secretary’s division, urban/rural population, sex, age (under 18 years and 18 years and over) and ethnicity. Data on displaced persons due to conflict or tsunami are also included. Some important information which is useful for regional level planning purposes are given by Grama Niladhari Divisions. This enumeration is based on the usual residents of households in the district. These figures should be regarded as provisional. I wish to express my sincere thanks to the staff of the department and all other government officials and others who worked with dedication and diligence for the successful completion of the enumeration.     UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS FOR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEGREE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015 COMMON APTITUDE TEST FOR THE SELECTION OF CANDIDATES FOR THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEGREE PROGRAMME AT THE RAJARATA UNIVERSITY OF SRI LANKA AND THE VAVUNIYA CAMPUS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF JAFFNA The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to hold the Common Aptitude Test for admission of students for the study programme leading to the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Accordingly, those who sit and pass the above test will be considered for admission to the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka or the Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna. The minimum requirements for University Admissions are specified under section 8.4.6 of the Hand Book on “Admission to the Undergraduate courses of the Universities in Sri Lanka Academic year 2014 / 2015” issued by the University Grants Commission (29/30pg).
