The late Mrs. Suganthie Fidelia Paramanandhan Birth: 4th October 1941 Demise: 12th July 2014 The late Mrs. Suganthie Fidelia Paramanandhan was born in Chundikuli, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Daniel Paramanandhan, Retired Division Supdt. of Post Offices, Sri Lanka. Suganthie served a period in the Dept. of Telecommunication, Sri Lanka. Later she also served as a Teacher of English and Science in various schools in Baticoloa, Talaimannar and Jaffna. Her last service was as a Teacher of Science at Jaffna Union College, Tellippalai. She retired to migrate to Australia in 1987. Suganthie had her education at Vincent Girls High School at Batticoloa. Thereafter, she studied at Jaffna Union College, Tellipallai before she enrolled at Jaffna College, Vaddukoddai to pursue her studies in B. Science. She completed BSc Part 1 when she lost her father in 1960. She was offered a scholarship to complete her degree. She considered the needs of her mother and siblings and joined the Department of Telecommunications. Suganthie is the eldest daughter of the late Mr A B N Canagasabey, Engineering Assistant, Galoya Development Board and of Mrs Manonmany Packiam (Nee) Coomaraswamy. Her siblings include brother J S T Canagasabey of Wentworthville, Sydney (deceased), sister Chandramanie Florence Thiviasingham of Berala, brother David J Canagasabey of Baulkham Hills, brother S Wilfred Canagasbey of Bonnyrigg and Sister Manorangitham Felicia Mahendra of Castle Hill. She leaves behind her loving husband Daniel Paramanandhan formerly of Tax Office, Parramatta daughter Miss Jacinth Geetha, Mrs Priscilla Holmes, Tax Office and son Albert Sancho, Tax Office, Parramatta, her grand children Mickey and Amelia, her son in law Mr Glen Holmes of Gosford. She led a sacrificial life looking after the children and grand children. Suganthie looked after her husband, Daniel as a diabetic patient for over 20 years. Suganthie enjoyed drawing and other art works during her leisure hours, besides making clothes for her grandchildren. Suganthie passed away peacefully on the 12th July 2014 after a few hours of illness at the hands of her grieving husband. She is missed by all who came into contact with her. May her soul, rest in peace. .
