From the IITS Media Editor: une 16,2020 Welcome to the July 2020 edition of your ‘Island in the Sun Sentinel’. J When you read this we will be going into our fourth month of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and shutdown. Things are starting to open at little more in Florida and other states, but it is still important to follow state and local guidelines when venturing out. Hopefully things will start getting a little more back to normal (whatever that may mean!). As of now I do not have any information about when the clubhouse will be opening back up, but as of right now, the pool is open at 50% capacity, and pickleball is also open. NOTE: As of Monday, pickleball and shuffleboard, and the fitness center are also open. Other activities should be ramping back up soon. Calendar and monthly activities information is provided by the HOA and the activities committee. Note we are starting to open up for outdoor activities, will keep everyone posted on status of clubhouse opening. I encourage everyone to watch the sign board, sign up for the various FB sites, and the RoboCall phone messaging service. I encourage anyone who would like to share to submit an article regarding how they came to be at IITS. Anything pet related is welcome as well. We need to get back to making the media about IITS and our residents! I would really like to hear ideas of what you as residents would like to have included in the monthly media, or if there are any topics you would like to see on a monthly basis. Participation and submission of articles from you would be welcomed. Please submit articles to: [email protected] or if you prefer to submit via handwritten articles, please place them on top of the chest by the slider door in the carport, or hand to Jim or me personally. Thank you to those who continue to contribute articles for the monthly media! Everyone stay safe and be careful! President’s Corner Tony Williams, Lot 74 uly 2020 - Letter from the President This month’s message is short and sweet, but its message is big. J Four words to remember...JUST LOOK AROUND YOU. We are living in very disturbing times right now for sure. A pandemic, the likes of we none of us have seen in our lifetime. Protesting in the streets all over the world. In the midst of an economic slump not seen since the Great Depression. Sounds pretty gloomy, right? JUST LOOK AROUND YOU! Your locked in with your family for the most part and you get to spend time with the ones you love most. Time you wouldn’t have if the virus quarantine wasn’t in effect. JUST LOOK AROUND YOU! You have a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. ...continued on page 6 ISLAND IN THE SUN SENTINEL JULY, 2020 E 5 JUST LOOK AROUND YOU! There are neighbors and friends around you right here that love you and care about your welfare. And most importantly, LOOK AROUND YOU! God saw fit to grant you another day. Another breath. Many people did not wake up today. The point of all of this is to appreciate all the things that you’ve been given and make the most out of what you have. “JUST LOOK AROUND YOU” Until next month, friends! Tony Williams Men’s Breakfast/Ladies Luncheon Men's Breakfast – No write up for the men’s breakfast – Bob Disney will be taking this over. Abeytia ii Authorization for Reproduction of Master's Project Permission to reproduce this project in part or in entirety must be obtained from me. 04 May 2018 Ernest J. Abeytia iii Case 99: The Literary Lady By Ernest J. Abeytia ABSTRACT This is a crime fiction novel. It is a confluence of the styles, settings, plot lines, and character development of such luminaries of detective storytelling as Raymond Chandler, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Elmore Leonard, but it is not a hard copy or “cover” of anything they wrote. Bob Derby is a homicide detective in the Gardena, California police department. Gardena is one of 88 cities or towns in the County of Los Angeles. He has made an arrest in, or “cleared,” 98 of 101 homicide cases as the story begins, but he has never actually solved any of them. Somebody else always beats him to it and he then applies the police procedure that closes the case. The murder of Emma Williams is to be no different. iv Table of Contents Critical Introduction ........................................................................................................ vi Bibliography ................................................................................................................... xix Case 99: The Literary Lady ................................................................................................1 v Case 99: The Literary Lady By Ernest J. Read Ebook {PDF EPUB} Friday the 13th Part II by Simon Hawke Friday the 13th part 2 review. Vickie didnt want to disturb Jeff and Sandra. She had heard the vigorous sounds coming from their bedroom, and knew they must be lying exhausted in each others arms by now. But she had to see them. She had to warn them what was happening here at Crystal Lake, as thunder crashed and lightning flashed. Timidly she opened the bedroom door and looked inside. The sheets were pulled over two figures lying on the bed. Sandra, Vickie whispered. Then the sheet was thrown back, and a hooded figure sat up. and Vickie screamed and screamed and screamed. Dr. Wolfula- "Friday the 13th Part 2" Review. User Reviews. Check out what Sophie had to say about the corresponding Freddy pic here! With Mrs. Voorhees with no head and a cliffhanger of an ending, writer Ron Kurz and director Steve Miner had a few roads to travel in unraveling more of the slasher franchise. The camp slasher foundation continues its build, but the introduction of a soon to be iconic killer makes the film feel fresh and exciting with a surprising attention to detail. Alice Hardy has survived the attacks of crazy Mrs. Voorhees and decides to gain back her normalcy in a summer vacation home. The dream of a decomposed young Jason still haunt her, as does the head of Pamela flying from her neck. Forgot your password? Don't have an account? Sign up here. Brunswick seniors celebrate a golden age By JENNIFER AMATO Staff Writer n a building that is just 25 years old, there are enough memories to last 25 Ilifetimes. The South Brunswick Senior Center will highlight its 25th anniversary on Sept. 22 with a celebratory party. Betsy Sansig, 92, remembers when a celebration was held to mark the first offi cial day of the opening of the center in 1991. “The mayor was here. And a lot of big shots,” she said of the ribbon-cutting and luncheon to follow. Prior to the establishment of the senior center, a group of seniors would meet in the early 1980s at the municipal building to pe tition for a space of their own while using Crossroads Middle School, the VFW, the high school and Woodlol Park as meeting grounds. “We used to join trips. We used to go away sometimes for a week ... and book a hotel,” Sansig said. Then, with permission of the mayor and council at the time, a 10,000-square-foot structure was built for a population of 2,000 residents who were age 55 or older, with about 50 seniors coming to the center each day. A group would go door-to-door selling stickers to residents — Sansig did not re member what the stickers looked like — in order to buy $3,000 worth of kitchenware and dishware for the new center.
