ACTIVITIES GUIDE

Athens City Tour Included On our first full day in Athens (Day 2) we'll explore the history of some of the most famous UNESCO World Heritage sites with our local guide. We'll visit , National Garden, the outside of the (Old Olympic Stadium), Temple of Zeus and of course we'll finish with the most famous of all; the Acropolis - where you'll have free time to explore all sites on the Acropolis (, Temple of Athena , Erechtheum and more) before lunch, with the afternoon free to explore one of the other archaeological sites in the city, or a museum.

8am-8pm Tue-Sun (1- Archaeological Museum 10 € http://www.namuseum.gr/ 8pm Mon) Established in 1829 The National Archaeological Museum in Athens houses some of the most important artifacts from a variety of archaeological locations around Greece from prehistory to late antiquity. An incredible collection, and within a few mins walk from our Hotel.

8am-8pm Tue-Sun (8am- 5 € www.theacropolismuseum.gr 4pm Mon) The Acropolis Museum is an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the . Located within a few mins walk from the Acropolis (and also next to our lunch spot on Day 2).

Ancient , Roman 8am-8pm (8am-3pm Included Agora, Hadrian's Library Hadrians Library) As part of your City Tour (Day 2) you'll be given a pass that allows you to visit a number of additional archeological sites in the city including the Ancient Agora, & Hadrian's library. We'd recommend holding off seeing these until you have your pass and have the afternoon of Day 2 as well as upon your return to Athens at the end of our trip to visit these sites.

Approx. 8:30pm & 11pm Thision Open Air Cinema 6 to 8 € http://cine-thisio.gr/ showtimes If you find yourself in Athens with an extra night or two before/after our trip this is a fantastic way to take in a film under the stars in the shadow of the beautifully lit Acropolis. Early and late sessions. Access by metro or within walking from the bustling downtown neigborhoods of Monastraki and Gazi where you may have spent your time that afternoon. Lively Monastiraki is known for iconic landmarks including the ruins of Hadrian’s Library, the Ancient Agora and the rebuilt . Monastiraki Flea Market is a jumble of shops selling artisanal soaps, handmade sandals and souvenir T-shirts. The surrounding streets are crammed with traditional tavernas and restaurants, many with Acropolis views. The market really gets buzzing in the evenings and feels more like a 'flea' market on Sundays only. This is a very central neighborhood and fun to explore! We'll be spending considerable time each day in this neighborhood on our trip so you'll certainly become very familiar with it by the end of your trip.

MILOS During your visit on Milos you will have access to an ATV for a fun and convenient way to explore the Island. All drivers must have their IDP (International Drivers Permit) upon registration and on them at all times when driving. ATV Demonstration and safe practices instructed at time of pick-up. IDP's must be arranged from your home country prior to leaving.

~10 min by ATV from Sarakiniko Beach Free Hotel Waves driven by north winds continue to shape the greyish-white volcanic rock at Sarakiniko Beach into amazing shapes, and the area is often compared to a moonscape. Great cliff-diving and swimming. Your trip leader will often lead the group there on the first afternoon (or the day with the least amount of wind) by ATV for a couple hours of swimming/relaxing.

Kayak Tour 30 € 3-5 hours Min. 4 Volcanic Milos has a unique and spectacular coastline. Paddle the clear, blue Mediterranean waters; explore sea caves, tunnels and arches; relax on deserted beaches; explore uninhabited islands. Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary. This kayaking adventure explores remote sections of the coast and is lead by one of the locals who is very knowledgeable and accommodating to the group's needs. A highlight for many!

Approx. 70 - Island Yacht Tour Full Day http://www.excellentyachting.com 80 € For years this has day been one of the highlights for many of our travelers! We'll either charter our own yacht for the day or join a scheduled tour (depends on numbers) and sail around part of the Island to the remote Kleftiko Caves - once a pirates refuge. The journey to the caves passes steep cliffs and bizarre rock formations burst with volcanic colour, and provides great opportunities for swimming and snorkeling directly from the boat or from one of the idyllic beaches. Lunch and drinks are included. We're usually on the water from ~10am to 5pm. Catacombs/Venus de Milo 4 € The Catacombs of Milos, dating from the 1st - 5th century, are among the three most important of the 74 discovered worldwide, together with the catacombs of Rome and the Holy Land. It is possible that the Catacombs of Milos are older than the ones of Rome. A short visit inside the 3 rooms accessible to tourists takes less than 10 min and is within walking distance to the sight in which the 'Venus de Milo' statue was found (in 1820). Our visit to both of these locations is generally by ATV while exploring parts of the Island together as a group.

Wine Tasting 10 € Evening http://www.kostantakis.gr/index.php/ A very quintessential Milos experience! At this family-owned and operated 'cave' winery we're given a short introduction to their vineyard and operation, before sampling a variety of locally grown and produced Greek wines.

Beach by ATV One of the greatest things about having an ATV on Milos, is that it offers the opportunity to grab a map and explore the island at your own pace. Milos offers many different beaches, some with limited services available. Your trip leader will be happy to show you his favourite spots, or set you off to make the most of your days on the Island.

SANTORINI

Sunset Dinner Cruise Approx. 80-90 € www.santorini-sea-excursions.com One of the highlights for our groups in Santorini is a 5 hour boat trip inside the Caldera with some stops to explore the uninhabited volcanic islands of Nea Kameni (where you can hike to the summit for great views) and Palea Kameni (where you can mud-bathe in the mineral-rich "hot" springs) before we have Dinner and position ourselves for the perfect Santorini sunset onboard.

Akrotiri Archaeological Site 12 € http://odysseus.culture.gr/h/3/eh351.jsp?obj_id=2410 This archaelogical site (discovered in 1967) invites you to discover relics and stories of an ancient civilization destroyed by the volcanic eruption that created the Santorini caldera. With some similarities to Pompeii, this preserved site allows you to explore some of the streets and alleys left as they were found. With enough interest we can often arrange for our own private guide to take us around the site (approx 10 € pp) for approx. 1 hour.

Clifftop Scenic Walk Free* Its that view Santorini is known for!.. the blue and white domed roofs perched high on the cliffs overlooking the sparkling blue Aegean Sea below. You'll get to experience that throughout your visit on Santorini, but one way to take it all in at a quieter pace with fewer tourists is to walk from the town of Imerovigli to Fira (and that direction is slightly downhill!). Grab a coffee and bring your camera and enjoy the stroll (~30 mins) along the Clifftop. *Transportation to Imerovigli where the clifftop walk begins is either by shared taxi or local public bus. Skaros Rock Hike Free* If you're looking for a little more than just a leisurely stroll, consider adding on at the beginning of your walk a short hike out to Skaros Rock. An iconic natural spire that sits on the edge of the caldera with outstanding views. The hike requires some scrambling and has uneven terrain at times. It adds approx 1 hour to your Clifftop scenic walk (see above) and is lead by your Trip Leader. *Transportation to Imerovigli where the hike/walk begins is either by shared taxi or local public bus.

Scuba Diving Varies www.divecenter.gr The big volcanic explosion has created some magnificent underwater scenery, so there's a lot of wall dives and never ending drop-offs. Programs available for certified and non-certified divers. Non certified divers have the opportunity to take an introductory scuba diving lesson guided by experienced instructors that includes an ocean dive to a shallow rocky reef and the opportunity to go out further in to the caldera afterwards.

Wine Tour 120 € 10am (4.5 hrs) www.santoriniwinetour.com Santorini's signature wine tour offers the opportunity to sample and learn about the volcanic wines of the island. You'll visit three selected wineries, under the guidance of local experts. This tour is a fun way to learn all there is to know about the wine culture of the island!

MYKONOS

Delos 44 € * 3-4 hours https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/530 Delos was considered “the most sacred of all islands” in culture. According to the legend, it was there that Apollo-Sun, god of daylight, and his twin sister Artemis-Moon, goddess of night light, were born. Today the ancient ruins of the city can be explored by taking a short 30 min ferry over from Mykonos Town. For history buffs this is a great opportunity to take a guided tour around these ruins, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover the history of what was once a major political, religious and economical centre of Europe. *Price approx. based on numbers/guide fee

Elia Gay Beach 20 € A 30 min bus from right outside our Hotel will take you to Elia Beach where you can spend as long as you like on the Gay beach. 15€ for a sunbed for the day, and 5€ return bus fare is the fastest and most convenient way to get to the beach. Order lunch and drinks right from your sunbed! Jackie O's Super Paradise Min 30 € www.jackieomykonos.com A visit to Mykonos wouldn't be complete without experiencing its most famous gay beach club; Jackie O's! An amazing venue with a great pool and views overlooking Super Paradise Beach. You have the option to rent a sunbed at either the pool (with the main bar/restaurant/DJ) or down at the beach (limited bar/menu available). Approx 7pm each night there's a drag show. Drinks start at 10€ and meals are pricey - but you're paying for the exclusivity of Jackie O's of course! We often share a taxi to/from the venue which is an additional cost also.

Horseback Riding From 80 € 8:30am www.mykonoshorse.com This ride totals two hours from Horseland stables to Fokos Beach. You'll ride through local farming areas often inhabited by goats, sheep and donkeys. We take a quick stop at the stunning Fokos beach and return. Experienced riders may be able to ride along the beach during this morning tour. Other tours available for longer durations.

Cooking Class 120 € 10am-4pm (6hrs) http://www.mykonianspiti.com Located in the centre of the Island (transportation included), this small family-run organic farm offers the opportunity to join them for a full day Cooking class 'experience' where you'll learn about traditional Greek cooking and even handpick from their garden the ingredients used. You'll prepare (and enjoy) a selection of appetizers and one main dish. It's very common in Greece to share many appetizers with your family as the main portion of your meal, with a smaller main and dessert to follow. It's a very relaxed class where you're encouraged to take the time to enjoy your surroundings, perhaps take in a swim between meals etc.
