Shay Frederick (VALPO) - Frederick led the way last week as Valpo split its MVC-opening series with UNI. She led all players in Valpo’s win on Thursday with 20 points, 13 of which came in the fourth quarter as she single-handedly outscored UNI 13-11 in the final period. Frederick scored nine of her fourth quarter points in a three-possession stretch midway through the quarter, turning a one-point deficit into a six-point lead and giving Valpo the lead for good. She added seven rebounds and led all players with six assists as well in the win. Saturday, she just missed her career high by scoring 26 points, 20 of which came after halftime, and led all players again with six assists. Frederick has scored 20+ in three straight games, the first Valpo player to do so since December 2017.

Chloe Rice (BRAD) - Rice came off the bench to average 6.5 points on 83.3 percent shooting as she helped Bradley sweep the regular-season series vs. SIU for the first time since 2012- 13. Rice was 4-of-5 from the field and matched a career-high she set as a freshman at Saint Louis with nine points in the opener. In Saturday’s series finale, she capped a 12-0 Bradley run in the third quarter that gave the Braves the lead for good with a four-point play.

Rylie Stephens (UE) - Marking the second and third time of the season, freshman Rylie Stephens led the Aces in scoring in both games last week. In the series-opener against Drake, Stephens scored a team-best 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field, to go along with three steals and a pair of assists. On Friday, Stephens matched a career-high with 14 points, going 5-of-11 from the floor. On the season, Stephens sits third on the team in scoring, while playing just 18 minutes per game.
