Times are from 10:00 am until sundown which is around 4:00 pm in the winter and 8:00 pm in the summer. Please ring on the day if you need more specific times. Prices: •Adults - £12 for 1 hour or £10 for 30 minutes. •Child (under 15) - £5 for 1 hour or £4 for 30 minutes. •Family (2 adults and 2 children) - £29 for 1 hour or £24 for 30 minutes. The Serpentine Swimming Club is the oldest swimming club in Britain. The Serpentine Lido is open from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (last entry 5:30pm) every day in June, July and August. During May it is only open on weekends and Bank Holidays and also during the famous race on Christmas day.     The Office Gridiron Building One St Pancras Square London N1C 4AG Heritage Statement Red Lodge, 51 Palace Court, Westminster Written by: Ignus Froneman B.Arch.Stud ACIfA IHBC Date: 31 March 2021 On behalf of: TIKO Construction Limited Ref: 0307 INTRODUCTION 1.1 This Heritage Statement has been prepared by Ignus Froneman, Director at Cogent Heritage, in consultation with the Applicant, TIKO Construction Limited. 1.2 The application involves minor alterations to the entrance gate and boundary wall of the subject building, known as Red Lodge, at No. 51 Palace Court in Bayswater. The proposed development involves a change to the design of the vehicular gate (on Palace Court) as was previously approved. The application is retrospective, in that the gate has been installed and is presently in situ. Also included is the proposed recladding of the adjoining boundary wall with red bricks, laid in lime mortar, to exactly match the remainder of the boundary wall. This part of the proposal has not been implemented. 1.3 Red Lodge is unlisted, but falls in the Bayswater Conservation Area. 1.4 The closest listed building is the grade II listed former terraced house at No. 47 (now the Capellania Catolica Española, or Spanish Catholic Chapel). St James’s Park welcomes three Great White pelicans as they take up residence in the Royal Park in front of Buckingham Palace. The trio, one called Tiffany, help maintain a 349-year tradition that attracts and delights millions of visitors to the park every year. The first pelican to grace the Royal Parks was a gift from the Russian Ambassador to King Charles II in 1664 and the colony has thrived ever since. The young Great White Pelicans – a gift from the City of Prague – are the result of a remarkable collaboration of the Royal Parks Foundation, The Royal Parks, Prague Zoo and The Tiffany & Co. Foundation, which will ensure the majestic birds flourish in their new home on St James’s Park Lake. Visitors to the Royal Parks Foundation website will be invited to help name one of the beautiful birds by voting for their favourite name from a list at www.SupportTheRoyalParks.org. These include Bela, Bety, Karola, Pearl, Queenie and Isla. A precision-planned operation transported the pelicans from Prague in a climate- controlled vehicle with specially mounted cameras so the birds could be observed at all times.
