Donau, August 18, 2020 – When the starting lights for the Nürburgring 24 Hours go out on September 26, Audi Sport wants to fight for the sixth overall victory with a strong line-up. Since the beginning of the customer racing program in 2009 the brand has already won the endurance classic five times with the GT3 sports car Audi R8 LMS. No other manufacturer was as successful in this era. “We have succeeded in shaping an era at the Nürburgring in just over a decade. At our twelfth start we now want to fight for our sixth overall victory,” says Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing. Like last year, the long-standing Audi Sport customer teams Car Collection Motorsport, Land-Motorsport and Phoenix Racing, together with the team from Audi Sport customer racing, are each entrusted with the deployment of one R8 LMS. In addition, the brand expects further entries by private teams in various classes. A total of twelve experienced professional drivers who compete for Audi in DTM, Formula E and customer racing share the three cockpits.

Donau, July 1, 2019 – For the 24 Hours of Spa from July 25 to 28, Audi Sport customer racing expects more than ten Audi R8 LMS on the grid. The 24-hour race is part of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. It is also the third in five rounds of the Intercontinental GT Challenge for which Audi Sport has nominated four race cars. Audi Sport has won the iconic endurance race with the Audi R8 LMS four times so far – in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2017. In the battle for its fifth victory, Audi relies on proven teams with a successful track record. Audi Sport Team WRT – the 2011 and 2014 winning team – is fielding two Audi R8 LMS cars for Audi Sport customer racing. Audi Sport drivers Frank Stippler and Dries Vanthoor, who won the 24 Hours of Nürburgring a week ago, will be sharing a cockpit with the Spaniard Alex Riberas. Robin Frijns, Nico Müller and René Rast, three of the six Audi factory drivers in the DTM, are going to drive another Audi R8 LMS of the Belgian team. 2011 Presentation 2011 TEAM INFORMATION MANUAL www.gt1world.com 1 PRESENTATION OF THE 2011 SEASON Introduction One championship, one category, 28 cars and 8 brands represented on a single grid. Now in its sixth year the FIA GT3 European Championship has continued to attract teams and drivers from across the world resulting in large grids and action packed racing. Although present in all the major national GT Championships, the GT3 pinnacle remains the FIA GT3 European Championship. A championship for the latest generation of sportscar; with few modifications allowed from the road-going models, their performance is balanced using the techniques developed and proven in the FIA GT Championship and its successor the FIA GT1 World Championship. Each model should be represented by a minimum of 2 cars (usually for new models) and a maximum of 6 cars, entered by two car teams. The FIA GT3 European Championship is reserved for non-professional drivers and an overall title is awarded for Drivers and Team champions. The fastest Champion driver receives a €150,000 prize-fund and up to 40 sets of Michelin tyres to move up to the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2012. Steady progress with makes… Eight makes will be represented this season on the FIA GT3 European Championship grid, with the welcome addition of the Ferrari 458 Italia and Mercedes- Benz SLS AMG GT3 and the possible inclusion of the recently launched McLaren GT later this year or for the 2012 season. 2011, another unique and exiting season to look forward to it. Balance of Performance Testing The balance of performance and adjustments to the technical specifications of the cars are carried out by and under the control of the GT Committee.
