There will be three options to choose from. Students may work by themselves or with a partner. Each project must include: the physical project, and a well-researched paragraph. The paragraph should describe the importance of the project to the Viking people. Building materials must not exceed $10.00. The Viking Project is due _____________________________. Students will be given three (3) in-class work blocks prior to the due date. However, students must bring in their own materials and supplies. If a student is not using the class time productively, or forgets to bring in project supplies, preparation marks taken off for their project’s final grade. You can find many different types of Norse designs on the Internet or in the Library (complex curves & endless overlapping knots). The 3D Art Piece must: a. Include an original sketch/design (with measurements) b. Be carved into a small block of wood, or sculpted out of clay. c.
